Palworld 1.0.5 in three tables: cakes, Work Suitability, and condensation versus technology
Palworld breeding and base assignment in three tables. When to use each of the four cakes, how to split work after Work Suitability went to 10 levels, and what condensation going from 116 Pals to 48 plus the technology unlocks actually changes.

Palworld 1.0.5: how to read these three tables
Read the order first, then the tables. Each one answers a different question, and if you mix them up it's messy.
Table one: cakes, read "which one, when"
This table answers "which cake do I make now". Column one is the cake, column three is what it does, so match column three to your goal.
Table two: Work Suitability, read "who does what"
This table answers "which Pal goes where in the base". Column three is the work type, column four is the tier requirement.
Table three: condensation and technology, read "what the cost dropped to"
This one's pure numbers: how many Pals condensation needs, and what level unlocks what. Column three is before, column four is after, so read the gap.
The four Palworld cakes, as a table
| Cake | Per craft | Effect | When to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vegetable Cake | 2 eggs | Baseline volume | Stage one: get output moving |
| Special Cake | 1 egg | Raises the chance of inheriting multiple passives | Stage two: targeted passive farming |
| Mushroom Cake | 1 egg | Slightly raises the chance of high stats | Stage two: when stats fall short |
| Deluxe Vegetable Cake | 1 egg | Raises mutation odds and stat growth | Stage three: once the chain runs clean |
Why the stages are ordered this way
Stage one answers "does it exist", stage two answers "is it good", and only stage three's about mutations. Swap the order and you burn materials for nothing.
Why mutations come last
The official notes call mutations "a low chance" and don't give a figure, so they're a bonus, not a target line.

The Palworld Work Suitability table
| Change | Before | After | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Work Suitability levels | Old tiers | Expanded to 10 levels | All Pals were rebalanced, so old tier lists are void |
| Ancient Bark gathering | High requirement | Requires Lv. 1 | Send Pals early; the building chain moves forward |
| Building repair | Needed Repair Kits | Handiwork Pals repair directly | One fewer item to farm, easier base upkeep |
| Jetragon technology | Level 79 | Level 70 | Unlocks 9 levels earlier, with fewer materials |
Read column three as a floor, not a ceiling
The "after" column is the requirement, and it isn't the maximum. Lower requirements mean more Pals qualify, so you don't need to raise one high-level Pal for a single line.
The Ancient Bark row is the practical one
v1.0.4 dropped Ancient Bark gathering to Lv. 1. Most early bases that stall on building materials stall here.

The Palworld condensation and technology table
| Item | Before | After | Conversion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pals needed for max condensation | 116 | 48 | 68 fewer, a 58.6% cut |
| Player level cap | 65 | 80 | 15 levels higher |
| Total Pals | Old total | 287 | 72 added (47 new + 25 variants) |
| Repair item | Repair Kits needed | Not needed | One material saved |
Where 58.6% comes from
116 − 48 = 68, and 68 ÷ 116 ≈ 58.6%. The same Pal now costs about four tenths of what it used to.
Read columns three and four together
If you read only the "after" column, you'll understate the change. "Before" tells you what you used to stock and "after" tells you what you stock now, and that's the saving.

Palworld 1.0.5: what people still ask about these tables (FAQ)
Is gambling on mutations worth it?
A: Yes, but move it to stage three. The notes call it "a low chance" with no number, so use Deluxe Vegetable Cake; it's a bonus, not a plan.
What's the level cap?
A: 80. v1.0 raised the player level cap from 65 to 80.
I only want a few transitional Pals. Do I need mutations?
A: No. Vegetable Cake mass-production covers them at 2 eggs per craft, and it's far easier to hit the 48-Pal cap.
Do I need to rebreed for 1.0.5?
A: No. v1.0.5 only fixes texture loading resolution, and breeding hasn't changed .
What should I farm first?
A: Ancient Bark. The gathering requirement dropped to Lv. 1, so early building chains have the most to gain.

- Reverse: 1999 4.0 "Gate-Keeper": what I claimed first coming back, and what I nearly missed
I came back this week, and the first thing I did wasn't the story. It was claiming the five login rewards one by one. Then I noticed the limited sign-in gives 40 pulls over several days, and I'd skipped two of them. By the time I went back, the countdown was nearly done.
- Love and Deepspace 6.0 home: 20 player questions answered, and 6000 diamonds that expire
How much does the home system pay? Officially, "over 6000 diamonds". It isn't a lump sum. It's spread across cooking, handcrafts and tasks. Claim it in the wrong order and some of it expires.
- Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 "Dance With Beasts Before the Moon Rises": who should skip, and who should claim first
If your archive is full, skip this one. If you only run the story and don't care about strength, skip it. Pearl is a limited 5-star, Elation and Ice, and the whole question is one thing: are you short an Elation slot? If yes, pull. If no, keep the free pulls.
- Genshin Impact 7.1 anniversary maths: the free 20 pulls, where both invitations land, and the real cost
If your archive is full, skip this one. If you only run the story and don't care about strength, skip it. Pearl is a limited 5-star, Elation and Ice, and the whole question is one thing: are you short an Elation slot? If yes, pull. If no, keep the free pulls.
- Wuthering Waves 3.7 Hsin build retrospective: I rolled substats first, burned two rounds of Echoes, and here's where the order went wrong
If your archive is full, skip this one. If you only run the story and don't care about strength, skip it. Pearl is a limited 5-star, Elation and Ice, and the whole question is one thing: are you short an Elation slot? If yes, pull. If no, keep the free pulls.
- Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 Shiyu Defense room 3: a third DPS or a dedicated stun slot (two-column table + 3 tests)
Room 3 comes down to two numbers: is your stun unit at level 50 or above, and do you have 2 people who can break shields. Pass both and you take route A. Fail either and you take B. If you fail both, fix your investment before you walk in.
- Arknights "Yesterday's Sea" week-one timeline: 24 hours before launch to day 7, one move per day
Applicable version: as of the 2026-10-03 update (Arknights has no version numbers, so dates from the official site are the anchor; this piece was written 2026-10-05) 24 hours before launch, do one thing: stop spending sanity and bank all 240 points for the event. Everything else on this list is optional. Skip this one and you'll be a full round of materials short.
- Palworld v1.0.5 Boss and Tower Guide: Jetragon Tech Change, Base Defense and the World Tree Route
Palworld's endgame combat splits into three tiers: tower bosses, field bosses and the World Tree main line. v1.0.5 itself only fixed a texture-resolution loading issue, so what actually changes your approach is v1.0.3 lowering Jetragon's technology unlock from level 79 to 70, plus the 1.0 launch raising the player level cap from 65 to 80. Pushing towers first, then field bosses, then the World Tree saves the most time.
