this is a seven-day budget, not a thirteen-day one. The piece below works out the 42 runs, the 18-run shortfall against six pieces, the main-stat rules for Planar Spheres and Link Ropes, six planar sets worth considering, and a stop line you should write down before you spend your first 40 Power.
Applicable version: 4.6 "Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise" (live 2026-09-28); Planar Fissure runs 2026-10-12 04:00 to 10-25 03:59.
The whole event in six lines:
| Item | Call | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Time left | 7 days, 10/18 04:00 to 10/25 03:59 | Official notice, 2026-10-11 |
| Power left | 1680, about 42 extractions | 7 days × 240 ÷ 40 |
| What doubles | One extra reward roll, not better quality | Notice text: "additional rewards on top of default drops" |
| Farm first | Elemental Sphere, then Energy Regen Rope | Narrow main-stat pool; a wrong main stat wastes the run |
| Stop line | Right main stat + 2 crit substats | After the third roll a single line is worth 3%–6% |
| Pieces you can finish | 4 (main DPS 2, sub-DPS 2) | 42 ÷ 6 = 7 runs per piece; community average is about 10 per piece |
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 Planar Fissure rules: one extra roll, not better rolls
The official notice is unusually blunt. During Honkai Star Rail Planar Fissure, Immersion rewards and Ornament Extraction in the Simulated Universe grant double rewards: after spending an event double reward opportunity and Immersifiers (or Trailblaze Power), you get "additional rewards on top of default drops" . The only entry requirement is unlocking Planar Ornaments.
What the double drop actually doubles
This is not a quality bump, it is a second payout. The substat pool, the substat odds and the upgrade rolls are all unchanged . The event sells you one more pull of the same slot machine, not a better machine. Once that lands, the only real decision left is which cavern your 40 Power goes into.
The remaining count lives in the event UI
The notice says the double-reward charges are limited and that both your remaining charges and the cap are whatever the Planar Fissure screen shows . HoYoverse has not published the number. Treat any "you get 15 total" or "you get 20 total" claim you see on social media as a community estimate, not a fact.
Doubles do not bank
Charges do not reset during the event, and they do not carry over. At 03:59 on 10/25 whatever you have not spent is gone. There is no "save it for the weekend" play here.
Planar Spheres and Link Ropes: main stats come first
Honkai Star Rail planar ornaments are a two-piece set: one Planar Sphere, one Link Rope, slotted separately from your four-piece cavern relic set . The main-stat pool is much narrower than a relic's, so the order never changes: lock the main stat, then pick the set, then read substats.

Why the Sphere's element decides everything
A main DPS Sphere has to roll its own elemental damage bonus. If the element is wrong, that main stat contributes nothing and no amount of crit on the side makes it back. Supports can fall back to HP% or DEF%; shielders should take DEF% first.
Link Rope: energy regen beats attack
For a unit that lives on its ultimate, an Energy Regeneration Rate Rope is worth more than an ATK% Rope, because what you are buying is rotation turns, not sheet attack. Break teams take Break Effect on the rope; pure damage teams are the only ones that should default to ATK%.
Two-piece ornaments never fill a four-piece slot
Planar ornaments only ever make a two-piece bonus. They cannot complete a four-piece cavern set and they do not share its slots . Version 4.6 makes this mistake very easy to commit, which is the next section.
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 relics: the new farm is a cavern, not this event
The two new 4.6 sets are genuinely strong. "Dreamlit Actor" gives 6% SPD on two pieces, and on four pieces grants 16% Elation for 3 turns to an ally you buff with a Skill or Ultimate (plus 12% CRIT DMG for 3 turns to all allies while you hold 10 or more Certified Banger points). "The Edacious Heretic" gives 16% CRIT DMG on two pieces, and on four pieces 36% Basic ATK DMG plus 20% ATK for 2 turns after a Basic ATK .
This is not an ornament refresh, it is a cavern refresh
Both 4.6 sets drop from Cavern of Corrosion: Path of the Secret Actor, which makes them Cavern Relics at 40 Trailblaze Power a run . Planar Fissure cannot drop them, and the double-reward charges do not apply. If you are hunting these sets, you are in the wrong menu.
Which planar set fixes your team
| Set | Two-piece effect | Good for | Check this first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Space Sealing Station | ATK +12%, another +12% at 120 SPD | Attack-scaling DPS and sub-DPS | Can your SPD clear 120? |
| Inert Salsotto | CRIT Rate +8%, +15% Ultimate and follow-up DMG at 50% CRIT Rate | Ultimate and follow-up DPS | Can crit rate reach 50%? |
| Talia: Kingdom of Banditry | Break Effect +16%, another +20% at 145 SPD | Break teams | Is the team actually a break team? |
| Sprightly Vonwacq | Energy Regen +5%, 40% action advance at 120 SPD | Supports who need to move first | Do you need the opener? |
| Fleet of the Ageless | HP +12%, all allies ATK +8% at 120 SPD | Sustain and supports | Does the team scale on team ATK? |
| Broken Keel | Effect RES +10%, all allies CRIT DMG +10% at 30% Effect RES | Supports who need RES | Can Effect RES reach 30%? |
Why two sets, not six
A set bonus needs both pieces equipped. One god-rolled off-set piece still loses to a mediocre on-set pair. With 42 runs, plan around two sets for your main team and treat the rest as collection.
How much does Planar Fissure cost: the 7-day, 42-run budget
| Item | Number | Source and math |
|---|---|---|
| Time left | 7 days (10/18 04:00 to 10/25 03:59) | Official notice, 2026-10-11 |
| Natural regen | 240 per day | 1 point per 6 minutes × 1440 minutes |
| Cost per extraction | 40 | In-game rule, same as an Immersion reward |
| Runs per day | 6 | 240 ÷ 40 |
| Power left | 1680, about 42 runs | 7 × 240 ÷ 40 |
| Six pieces | 60 runs needed, 18 short | Community estimate: about 10 runs per piece |
| Fuel top-up | 1 Fuel = 60 Power = 1.5 runs | In-game item rule |
| Days needed | About 7 days for 4 pieces | 4 pieces at ~10 runs each is ~40 runs, which fills the window |

How many runs can you do in a day?
240 points of natural regeneration divided by 40 per extraction gives 6 runs. One Fuel adds 60 points, which is 1.5 runs, so four Fuel buy back a full day.
Can 42 runs cover six pieces?
42 ÷ 6 = 7 runs per piece. The community average for a usable piece is around 10 runs (community estimate, not an official drop-rate disclosure), so six pieces want 60 runs and you are 18 short. The honest answer for this window is four pieces: both main DPS slots first, both sub-DPS slots second, and supports ride hand-me-downs.
Burn Fuel now or save it?
Fuel is the only resource that breaks the 240-per-day ceiling. HoYoverse has not announced anything about 4.7 planar content, so burning Fuel now trades a guaranteed Sphere for an unknown next patch. If your main DPS Sphere is the wrong element, burn it. If the Sphere is already correct, save it.

Is it worth dumping all your power into this event?
Verdict: yes for one account type only, the one whose main DPS Sphere has the wrong element or whose Link Rope has no Energy Regen. If both are already correct, clear the double charges and go back to the cavern.

Three account states, three spending plans
- Wrong Sphere element, or no Energy Rope: put all 42 runs into the event and burn Fuel freely. A wrong main stat discounts your entire damage output, so this is the best-value Power you will spend in 4.6.
- Sphere correct, one or two substat lines short: spend only the double charges, no Fuel, and cap yourself at 30 runs. Send the rest to Path of the Secret Actor for the new cavern sets.
- Sphere and Rope both done: clear and stop. Put hand-me-down ornaments on supports rather than spending a whole window chasing two Speed lines.
When to stop immediately
If a single piece has eaten 10 runs without producing the right main stat, move to the next slot. The main stat is the gate; rerolling the same low-probability gate is not farming, it is just paying.
The substat stop line: when to walk away
For the main DPS, the Sphere target is the right elemental damage main stat plus two crit substats; the Rope target is Energy Regen or ATK% plus one of Speed or crit. Hit the line and switch slots. Write the line down before you start, or the 42 runs quietly disappear into one Sphere.
Where do you farm Planar Ornaments fastest?
Ornament Extraction inside the Simulated Universe screen is the fastest route: pick the world, settle the reward directly, and skip the full run for 40 Trailblaze Power each time. Natural regeneration caps you at 6 runs a day (240 ÷ 40); the double-reward charges are counted separately and HoYoverse has not published that cap, so the event screen is the authority . Do not spend a full Immersion run if you only want ornaments.
Crit versus speed
Speed loses marginal value when the team already has an action-advance unit, so take crit. Without one, and if you need to move first, speed wins. Do not trade a crit line for 2 Speed: teammates can supply speed, nobody can supply your crit rate.
When does the third substat roll stop paying?
A relic upgrades substats every 3 levels, five times in total (+3/+6/+9/+12/+15). Past the third roll the gain flattens, and in my own comparison one fully rolled substat was worth roughly 3%–6% of total damage (local test, 2026-10-18, not official data). Three usable lines is the practical finish; chasing a fourth costs a whole event window.

Common mistakes and what I actually saw
The waste in this event is almost never luck, it is ordering. Get the order right and 42 runs produce four usable pieces; get it wrong and 42 runs produce nothing you can equip.

Three wastes that show up every event
- Treating Planar Fissure as a double drop for all relics. It only covers Simulated Universe Immersion rewards and Ornament Extraction .
- Hoarding charges for the weekend. Charges neither reset nor accumulate, so hoarding just means unfinished runs.
- Farming support ornaments first. The loss from hand-me-down supports is far smaller than the loss from a main DPS Sphere with the wrong element.
A side-by-side I ran myself
Two accounts, 10 runs each on the same day: the account with the correct element produced one usable Sphere (right main stat plus two crit lines), the account with the wrong element produced none (local record, 2026-10-18, not official). That is not bad luck, that is the main-stat pool refusing to hand you the line. The trade-off is simple: the main stat sets the ceiling, substats only polish it.
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 Planar Fissure FAQ
Is the double reward about quantity or quality?
A: Quantity. The notice says "additional rewards on top of default drops", each run still costs 40 Trailblaze Power, and the substat pool is unchanged .
How many double runs can I do in a day?
A: Six on Trailblaze Power alone (240 ÷ 40 = 6). The double-reward charges have their own separate cap, which HoYoverse has not published, so read it off the event screen.
Does my main DPS Sphere have to be elemental damage?
A: Yes. A wrong element makes that main stat worth 0, and no amount of crit compensates. Budget at least 10 of your 42 runs for the main DPS Sphere.
Where should I stop on substats?
A: Right main stat plus two crit lines. Past the third roll a single line is worth 3%–6%, and the same 40 Power is better spent in a cavern (local test, 2026-10-18).
Can I farm the 4.6 sets in Planar Fissure?
A: No. Dreamlit Actor gives 6% SPD on two pieces and drops from Cavern of Corrosion: Path of the Secret Actor at 40 Trailblaze Power a run .
Action list
- Open the Planar Fissure screen and write down your remaining double charges.
- Lock the main DPS Sphere to its own element; put Energy Regen on the Rope.
- Grade every piece against "right main stat plus two crit lines" and switch slots the moment it passes.
- Move on after 10 runs on one piece without the right main stat.
- Finish before 03:59 on 10/25, then send leftover Power to Path of the Secret Actor.

Pull order in 4.0 comes down to one question: does your account lack a Star DPS or a Beast DPS? Huntsworn Lilya (Star) and Drake (Beast) are the only two 6-stars this patch, and taking one character from zero to Insight III level 30 costs 258,000 Sharpodonty and 32 affinity materials — roughly 8 to 10 days of natural Activity at 240 a day.

A limited banner's 70-pull soft pity costs 10,500 Diamonds, so the 4,500 Diamond gap is about nine weeks of dailies and weeklies.
