On November 4, The Hidden Ones, developed by Tencent’s Morefun Studios, released a 13-minute gameplay demo alongside the launch of a new round of testing. Meanwhile, Happy Elements confirmed that its new title Silver Palace will enter global open beta on December 14, with pre-registrations already surpassing 15 million. Both titles are scheduled to meet players before the end of the year.
Starting with The Hidden Ones, the newly released video showcases roughly 13 minutes of its “Genesis Arc” story mode. Adapted from the hit Chinese manhua Under One Person, this 3D competitive fighting game retains the original’s supernatural world setting, and incorporates Chinese martial arts and Taoist spellcraft into its combat design.
Based on previously revealed gameplay details, the title does not rely solely on flashy ability effects to deliver combat spectacle. Instead, it places heavy emphasis on combos, attack-defense transitions, and tactical move exchanges between characters. For fans familiar with the source material, how faithfully the game captures each character’s distinct combat style remains a core point of interest.
Alongside the gameplay reveal, the game’s Final Beta officially kicked off at 10:00 AM on November 4. This is a limited, paid closed beta with a full data wipe upon conclusion, available on PC, Android, iOS and HarmonyOS devices. Players can access two core modes: Adventure and Duel.
Adventure Mode includes story chapters, character progression and stage challenges. Duel Mode, by contrast, prioritizes fair competitive play with no progression stat advantages carried over. It should be noted that all progress and in-game items will be erased once the test concludes. The game is planned for a full December launch, though no exact date has been announced yet.
Beyond The Hidden Ones, Happy Elements’ upcoming title Silver Palace has also received an official launch window. On October 31, the studio announced the game will launch in open beta worldwide on December 14, coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Android and iOS. According to official disclosures, global pre-registrations for the title have already exceeded 15 million.
Silver Palace is an open-world action RPG built in Unreal Engine 5. It features a distinct Victorian-era art style, set in a city powered by a mysterious substance known as “Liquid Silver.” Players take on the role of a detective who, alongside various companions, investigates cases and gradually uncovers the secrets hidden within the city.
In terms of gameplay, Silver Palace combines urban exploration and narrative investigation with a real-time combat system. Players can switch between characters mid-combat and combine different abilities to pull off coordinated attacks — a design direction that differs from The Hidden Ones’ focus on head-to-head competitive duels.
The two titles are at different stages of development: The Hidden Ones has entered a new hands-on testing phase, while Silver Palace is gearing up for its December open beta. For players following domestic action games, the coming weeks will bring both hands-on feedback from The Hidden Ones test and the full launch of Silver Palace.
