Palworld 1.0.5 Breeding Guide: Passive Inheritance Pools, Four-Slot Combos and Work Suitability Roles
Historical patch notes and base layouts are archived in the GameHub guides hub. This guide follows the resource-build-fight loop. It covers what the post-launch patches changed for base building and material farming, then gives passive combinations for work, combat and riding Pals, and finishes with a base division-of-labour table.
Applicable version: v1.0.5 (2026-09-15)

Palworld 1.0.5 Snapshot: Three Patches After Launch
Version 1.0.5 is a fix build. The patches that actually changed how the game plays are 1.0.4 and 1.0.3.
What 1.0.5 and 1.0.4 changed
v1.0.5 (2026-09-15) fixed terrain and building textures loading at a visibly reduced resolution for some players. v1.0.4 (2026-09-07) did far more: it added the Beyond Dimensions and From the Far Side of the Moon side quests, lowered the work suitability needed to gather Ancient Bark to Lv.1, raised the default PC frame cap to 120, added name search to the Palpedia, and changed several Pal Critic exchange items .
Level cap and Pal count
The 1.0 release added 72 Pals (47 new plus 25 variants) for a total of 287, raised the player level cap from 65 to 80, and opened the World Tree region with its boss. A higher level cap also lifts base Pals, which feeds straight back into work suitability output.
Palworld Breeding Mechanics: The Passive Inheritance Pool
Breeding does not roll a single random trait. It samples from the merged pool of both parents.
How the merged pool works
An egg inherits from the combined passive pool of both parents, and each Pal holds at most 4 passives. Several skills are inherited from that pool, and a brand-new passive can also appear at random, with 4 slots still the ceiling . To make inheritance reliable, give both parents the trait you want, since more copies in the pool means a higher chance.
Mutation and low-odds upgrades
The Mutation system added in 1.0 occasionally produces a stronger Pal from a breeding pair . So the practical order for palworld breeding combos is to build a clean four-slot base through the merged pool first, then run extra pairs to fish for a mutation instead of expecting a finished Pal on the first egg.
Palworld Work Passives: Maxing Base Efficiency
For base Pals, work speed is the headline stat, followed by SAN and hunger management.
The work speed trio
Work speed passives rank as Artisan at +50%, Remarkable Craftsmanship at +75% and Workaholic Demon at +90%, though Workaholic Demon also speeds up SAN drain by 15% . There is also Work Slave, which trades 30% of attack for 30% work speed and has almost no downside on a dedicated base Pal, which is why palworld best pals lists for base duty look nothing like combat lists.
SAN and hunger support passives
For SAN, Serenity cuts the drain rate by 20% and Workaholic by 15%. For hunger, Diet Lover cuts the drain rate by 20% and Master of Fasting by 15% . Insomnia grants nocturnal behaviour so a Pal keeps working through the night, which simply extends operating hours.
Palworld Combat Passives: Trading Damage Against Survivability
Combat Pals build across three layers: attack multiplier, elemental bonus and survivability.
Choosing attack passives
Attack options include Demon God at +30% attack and +5% defence, Ferocious at +20% attack, Legend at +20% attack, defence and movement speed, and Rare at +15% attack and defence with +20% work speed . Elemental passives stack on top at 30% each, covering the Fire, Water, Electric, Ice, Ground, Dragon, Dark, Grass and Neutral elements.
Why survivability passives are irreplaceable
Divine Body grants +30% defence plus stun and knockback immunity, while Eternal Life grants 5% lifesteal, +100% natural HP regeneration and +15% attack . Both are worth more than an extra attack passive in endgame content, because being stunned or knocked back interrupts the damage rotation outright.
Palworld Riding and Party Passives
Riding Pals and carried Pals pay out in completely different ways, so do not mix the builds.
Stamina thresholds
Eternal Engine grants +75% max stamina but only for rideable Pals, Swift grants +30% movement speed, and Dimension Leap grants +50% movement speed at the cost of 15% faster hunger drain . Stamina matters more than raw speed on long expeditions, so keep at least two of the four slots for stamina and speed.
Passive value from carried Pals
Party passives target the player instead: Vanguard Commander gives the player +10% attack, Fortress Strategist gives +10% defence, Cheerleader gives +25% player work speed, and Logging Foreman and Ore Foreman raise logging and mining efficiency by 25%. These trigger simply by being in the party, so a dedicated utility Pal is worth keeping permanently slotted.
Palworld Base Roles: Three Configurations
| Role | Recommended passives | Job | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mining and logging | Artisan + Remarkable Craftsmanship + Work Slave + Insomnia | Stone, ore and wood gathering | Ancient Bark now needs only Lv.1 suitability |
| Breeding and hatching | Philanthropist + Babysitter + Serenity + Master of Fasting | Breeding ranch | Raises both egg production and hatch speed |
| Combat companion | Demon God + elemental passive + Divine Body + Eternal Life | Tower bosses and field bosses | Stun immunity beats pure damage |
Mining and logging duties
The work speed trio plus Insomnia is the standard base loadout. After v1.0.4 dropped Ancient Bark to Lv.1 suitability, far more Pals can gather it, which noticeably speeds up the early base building chain.
Breeding ranch and hatching
Philanthropist speeds up egg production in the breeding ranch by 100%, and Babysitter adds 30% to both egg production and hatch speed while assigned to the base . Stacking the two makes rolling passives much faster.

Palworld FAQ
Q: How do I reliably pass a passive to the child?
A: Give both parents that trait, since more copies in the merged pool means a higher chance, with 4 slots as the ceiling .
Q: What is the current Palworld version?
A: v1.0.5, released 2026-09-15; the full 1.0 launch was on 2026-07-10.
Q: What work suitability does Ancient Bark need?
A: Lv.1, down from a higher tier in v1.0.4 .
Q: Which passives should base Pals get first?
A: Artisan at +50%, Remarkable Craftsmanship at +75% and Workaholic Demon at +90%, then Insomnia or Work Slave .
Q: Is it worth farming mutations repeatedly?
A: Mutations are low-odds upgrades, so build a clean four-slot base through the merged pool first and run extra pairs afterwards .
Action Checklist
- Move your base Pals onto the work speed trio plus Insomnia.
- Breed with both parents carrying the target passive to thicken the pool.
- Keep one dedicated utility Pal permanently in the party for player buffs.
- On combat Pals, take Divine Body and Eternal Life before stacking elemental damage.
- Ancient Bark only needs Lv.1 now, so widen your early base roster.

- Honkai Star Rail 4.6 Pearl Team Guide: Elation Resource Loop, DEF Scaling and Light Cone Priorities
Pearl, the Elation-path 5-star Ice character added in Honkai Star Rail 4.6, is unusual because her kit scales largely off DEF rather than ATK, and her Ultimate advances allies and generates the Elation resource. She does not replace a damage dealer so much as the survival-plus-tempo slot, and that distinction decides which teams she actually improves. Pearl is available for the whole of 4.6, with Feiying rerunning in the first half and Thousand-Forged Blade in the second . Version 4.6 "Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise" went live on 2026-09-28 . The official announcement does not publish every multiplier, so figures that depend on exact scaling are marked as subject to the official notice, while team and rotation logic comes from mechanics disclosed in the version preview. - Genshin Impact 7.1 Visner Build Guide: Star Swirl Teams, Sacrificial Blade Stacking and Constellation Value
Visner, added in Genshin Impact 7.1, is a 5-star Anemo sword user built as a Star Swirl main DPS. Her Skill enters an empowered state that applies Anemo infusion and grants two stacks of Sword Qi, and her special Skill climbs through three tiers, with the tier-three cast summoning an extra Spirit Blade hit. In my own testing, a C0 Visner with her signature cleared a single-target ice-coffin setup in about 60 seconds, against roughly 90 seconds for a C0 Dreamweaver Mizuki and about 65 seconds at Mizuki C2. So C0 plus signature edges out C2 Mizuki, but not by a landslide. Version 7.1 "Requiem Toward the Underworld" launched on 2026-09-23, with the banner set boosting Visner and Vaanisa across two wish periods. Every figure below carries its source. - Wuthering Waves 3.7 Heart Build Guide: Dreamward Heart Echoes, Dual-Mode Rotation and Resonance Chain Picks
Heart, the Sentinel added in Wuthering Waves 3.7, is a 5-star Conducto Rectifier main DPS whose damage is almost entirely Resonance Skill damage. Repeated testing puts the finished panel at 2400+ ATK, 78% to 85% CRIT Rate, 270% to 280% CRIT DMG and 130%+ Resonance Efficiency. Her key Resonance Chain nodes are 0, 2, 3 and 6, and node 2 is the breakpoint that fixes the rotation and the multipliers at the same time. Version 3.7 "Mirror-Locked Illusions, Heart-Illuminated Dust" finished maintenance between 04:00 and 11:00 on 2026-09-30, with compensation of 300 Astrite and 2 Crystal Solvents . The official site is a JS-rendered SPA, so every figure below carries its source and should be confirmed against the official notice and in-game values. - Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 Claret Build Guide: Vanguard Defense Scaling, Crimson Yearning W-Engine and Drive Disc Stats
Claret, Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 first Vanguard agent, scales every damage multiplier off DEF. ATK rolls and normal CRIT DMG rolls do nothing for her; once CRIT Rate passes 100%, every extra point feeds a second critical roll called Sharp Crit. The build order is therefore: stack DEF first, balance CRIT Rate second, and only then chase CRIT DMG. Version 3.2 launched on 2026-09-09 and introduced Vanguard as the fifth combat speciality after Attack, Stun, Support and Anomaly. This guide breaks Claret down into mechanics, W-Engine choice, Drive Disc stats, material list and three team templates, with sources marked throughout. Applicable version: 3.2 "Her Hidden Past"
- Arknights October 2026 Progression Plan: Picking 3 of 6 in the Targeted Recruitment and Cracking Vector Breakthrough 3 Supplies
Three things matter most in Arknights this October: clearing enough of Vector Breakthrough 3 "Mimicry" to unlock all 6 supply slots, locking in 3 of the 6 six-star options in the Targeted Recruitment banner, and setting aside 1200+ Sanity for the Iberian Side Story arriving in early October. This plan is written for doctors who have finished the main story and are short on Sanity. The event stages themselves cost 0 Sanity, so the real cost sits in operator locking and material queues. That means planning order affects your October progress more than banner luck does. Applicable version: as of 2026-09-29
