Zenless Zone Zero is an urban-fantasy action RPG developed by HoYoverse and released globally in July 2024. The setting is New Eridu, a near-future metropolis partially consumed by Hollows — dangerous spatial anomalies containing Ether resources, bizarre creations, and the ruins of old civilisation, but equally characterised by spatial disorder, monsters, and mutants. Ordinary people are not meant to go into Hollows at all — those who must go need a Proxy, a specialist capable of guiding them out of the labyrinthine interiors. The player is one such Proxy, cooperating with agent factions such as the Cunning Hares to take on commissions. Unlike HoYoverse's earlier titles, this game makes urban street culture its core aesthetic rather than a decorative layer. Character design, interface motion, and the soundtrack — drawing on hip-hop and electronic influences — all carry a pronounced street sensibility, and cutscenes frequently use comic-panel framing and dynamic typography. The overall effect is a more contemporary and more abrasive visual identity than the studio's other releases, aimed at a somewhat different audience. Combat is built around high-speed chaining. Players field three-character squads and link basic attacks, special attacks, ultimates, and Chain Attacks into fluid combos, with instant character switching to trigger coordinated effects. The pace is notably faster than the studio's other titles and emphasises feel and split-second decision-making over long-term planning. Structurally, the game organises content around commissions, complemented by a roguelike-style Hollow exploration mode, giving it a dual track of main story plus repeatable endgame content. The Phase II content went live on September 30, introducing S-rank Agents Roxy and Promeia as well as their corresponding limited-time banners. This is an in-version content update, and the main client version remains unchanged at 3.2 without a new major version iteration.
Wuthering Waves is an open-world action RPG developed by Kuro Games and released globally in May 2024, with overseas publishing handled by HK KURO GAMES LIMITED. Players wake from slumber as the Rover, joined by a vibrant cast of Resonators, on a journey to reclaim lost memories and, in the process, change the world. The setting is the post-apocalyptic world of Solaris-3, shaped by an event known as the Lament: former creations and earthly beings left static, humanity risen anew from the ashes of the apocalypse. The combat system is the game's clearest point of differentiation. It emphasises fast, chained attacks alongside precise defensive mechanics — dodge timing and parry windows — rewarding mechanical execution rather than pure stat inflation. Characters have branching skill trees and a Resonance system, and elemental interactions add a tactical layer on top of the action layer. The result is a system with genuine execution depth, unusual for the genre, where a well-timed dodge can matter more than a marginal gear upgrade. Exploration is built around a seamless open world supporting climbing, gliding, and parkour traversal across vertical terrain. The map contains puzzle mechanisms, world quests, and Echo collectibles — Echoes serve double duty as stat sources and as modifiers to a character's combat abilities, linking exploration directly to progression rather than treating the two as separate systems. Content cadence has been steady since launch, with regular additions of new regions, characters, and main-story chapters. Version 3.7.0, Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination, launched across all platforms on September 30, 2026.
Love and Deepspace is a 3D immersive romance game developed by InFold, a brand under Papergames, and released in January 2024. It is the newest entry in the Mr. Love series, but it moves decisively away from the contemporary urban romance of its predecessor into a near-future science-fiction setting. The player takes the role of a Deepspace Hunter who fights alongside — and gradually grows close to — several male leads with distinct backgrounds, roles, and story arcs. The game's defining technical characteristic is that it is fully 3D. Rather than relying on the 2D portraits and text-box presentation typical of the otome genre, it uses real-time rendered 3D character models and cinematic first-person storytelling, letting the player share important moments and "feel his breath and presence up close," as the official description puts it. Interactions are also rendered in real time, with actions provoking unique responses, alongside features such as date sequences, voice messages, and photo-taking. Presence — the sense of physically sharing space with a character — is the central design goal. Progression runs on two parallel tracks. One is card-based character development: levelling, ascension, and equipment. The other is relationship development, advanced through daily interaction, date stories, and an affinity system. The game also includes a Home system with an open kitchen and decorable living space, designed to strengthen the sense of long-term companionship rather than episodic consumption. The publisher explicitly states that the game does not currently support login for users under 18. The current iOS version is 6.0.0. The If Midnight Sleepless event, which went live on September 21, is an in-version content update that only introduced event story content, limited-time story banners, and optimization patches. The Google Play version also stands at version 6.0.0 (updated on July 6, 2026), with 12.19 million cumulative installs.
Reverse: 1999 is a 20th-century time-travel strategy RPG developed by Bluepoch, a Shanghai-based studio, released globally in October 2023. The premise is immediately striking: on the final day of 1999, a phenomenon known as "the Storm" falls upon the world, and the player — cast as the Timekeeper, an observer of eras — watches history reverse itself beneath rising raindrops. After each Storm, the Timekeeper can travel freely through the displaced eras. Joined by Sonetto, a powerful Arcanist and ally from the Foundation, the player's mission is to reach the points where the Storm is most active, locate other Arcanists who can sense its approach, and save them from being "sifted out" of the timeline altogether. At its core the game is a turn-based tactical RPG built around card-driven combat. Players recruit characters called Arcanists, each with a distinct skill set and an elemental affiliation that interacts with enemy types and stage conditions. Battles require sequencing plays around resource constraints, balancing damage output, crowd control, and support within the same turn. Progression follows a conventional but deep loop: acquiring characters through a gacha system, levelling them, ascending them, and upgrading their individual skills and signature equipment. What sets Reverse: 1999 apart is its art direction and writing. The official material describes it as blending Pop Art, classical oil painting, and other historical art styles into a single alt-history visual identity, and the result is a "New Weird" aesthetic — retro film-era visual language layered over surreal, deliberately anachronistic settings. That is paired with fully voiced story sequences and unusually literary prose for the genre. The soundtrack, produced with a dedicated music team, has become a talking point in its own right. As of September 2026, the latest official client version stands at 3.8.0 *The Temporal Scale*. The full-platform version update went live on September 23, covering iOS, Google Play, and PC (Steam).
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world action RPG developed and published by miHoYo, and distributed outside mainland China under its international brand HoYoverse. It launched worldwide on 28 September 2020 for Windows, PlayStation 4, Android and iOS, later arriving on PlayStation 5 in 2021 and Xbox Series X|S in 2024; a native HarmonyOS NEXT build followed in September 2025. The game is set in Teyvat, a fantasy continent ruled by seven elemental gods known as the Archons. Players take the role of the Traveler, who sets out to discover what happened to a lost sibling and uncovers the mysteries of this unfamiliar land along the way. Combat revolves around seven elements and real-time character switching, allowing party members to trigger elemental reactions against enemies. Exploration spans regions with distinct cultures and terrain, and a cross-platform co-op mode lets up to four players adventure together once they reach Adventure Rank 16. The game is monetised through gacha character and weapon banners and is expanded continuously on a live-service schedule with new cities, story chapters, characters and seasonal events. One practical note for players on older hardware: PlayStation 4 support was removed in April 2026, so the game now requires PS5, PC, Xbox Series X|S or a supported mobile device.
