Fione is the S-Rank Fire Anomaly agent of Version 3.3, tuned to the “Fleeting Life, Cast Aside” band. The Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 banner went live on October 21 at 06:00 and closes on November 11 at 23:59, sharing the window with S-Rank Wind Attack agent Severian. Everything below covers only how to build her once she is yours.

How Her CRIT Rate Is Actually Calculated
Why does Fione ignore CRIT stats? Any character tier list for Zenless Zone Zero will slot her in, and it comes down to her Core Passive, “Nirvana”: whenever any teammate deals Attribute Anomaly DMG, the enemy enters Burn for 20 seconds, and retriggering it refreshes the duration. When an enemy that is already Burning takes Attribute Anomaly DMG again, that hit is allowed to CRIT, with 30% base CRIT Rate and 12.5% CRIT DMG.
Remember one sentence: get the enemy burning first, and only then does your Anomaly DMG earn the right to CRIT. Every build decision below revolves around that line.
So where do the remaining 70% of CRIT Rate come from? From Anomaly Proficiency. The rule is simple: once Anomaly Proficiency passes 155, every additional point adds 0.7% CRIT Rate to Anomaly DMG against Burning enemies, and it caps out at 255. Run the math: 155 to 255 is 100 points, 100 × 0.7% = 70%, plus the 30% base, and you land on exactly 100%. That is why 255 is the threshold where Anomaly DMG always CRITs.
The conclusion is counterintuitive: more CRIT stats is not automatically better. Push Anomaly Proficiency past 155 first, then decide whether to chase 255. Below 155 you do not get a single point of that 0.7%, so every CRIT substat you reroll is wasted.
One more thing worth saying: Burn is not a marker you apply and forget — it bleeds on its own. A Burning enemy takes a Fire DMG tick every 8 seconds equal to 25% of Fione's ATK, settled as an Enhanced Special Attack. Ember Marks build up through Blaze Attacks, capped at 120 points; each Perfect Block grants 5, on a 10-second cooldown. When a fight goes passive, those 5-point increments are what keep you in it.
Which Stats to Roll on Your Drive Discs
Now that the mechanics are clear, the Drive Disc answer is one line: stack Anomaly Proficiency first. Here is every slot.
| Slot | Main Stat | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Slot 4 | Anomaly Proficiency | The fastest route to the 155 threshold |
| Slot 5 | Fire DMG | Anomaly DMG scales with Attribute DMG Bonus |
| Slot 6 | Anomaly Mastery | Faster Anomaly buildup, so Burn lands sooner |
| Substats | Anomaly Proficiency > ATK% > Anomaly Mastery | CRIT substats do nothing for her |
Plenty of players cannot tell Anomaly Proficiency from Anomaly Mastery. Put plainly: Anomaly Proficiency governs damage quality — whether Anomaly DMG can CRIT and how hard it hits; Anomaly Mastery governs how fast the Anomaly lands — how quickly you push an enemy into Burn. One is about hitting harder, the other about applying faster. Fione wants both, but Proficiency comes first.
If you have already rerolled your CRIT Rate substats to the cap, do not despair yet: her Anomaly CRIT Rate is decided entirely by 30% base plus whatever Anomaly Proficiency sits above 155. CRIT Rate substats on your Drive Discs never enter that formula. This is the most common mistake players make with her, bar none.
So should you push straight to 255? Weigh the cost first: 255 demands another 100 points of Anomaly Proficiency, which means pouring everything into a Slot 4 main stat, part of Slot 6, and a pile of substats. Most accounts are fine parking between 180 and 210, which puts CRIT Rate anywhere from 47% to 68% — excellent value for the investment. Sacrificing ATK to reach 255 is putting the cart before the horse. 155 is the passing grade, 255 is a perfect score, and the middle stretch is where most players actually live.

Which Set and W-Engine to Pick
With the stats settled, here is what actually goes on her.
| Piece | Recommendation | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Drive Discs | 4-piece Anomaly DMG Bonus set | Set names and stats follow what actually ships in-game |
| W-Engine | Nirvana's First Plume | The Version 3.3 S-Rank Anomaly W-Engine, and her signature |
| Budget option | Any general-purpose Anomaly W-Engine | A stopgap until the signature drops |
Two orderings here that you must not get backwards.
First, the signature W-Engine comes before Cinema 1. When you only have enough Polychrome for one, take the W-Engine. The signature is a structural buff to the entire Anomaly system; Cinema 1 is a numerical patch. An account without the signature sits visibly lower on the stat sheet.
Second, finish the 4-piece set before you go back to rerolling stats. The 4-piece bonus is worth more than any single stat roll. Complete the set first, then chase the Anomaly Proficiency main stat on Slot 4. Reverse that order and you will be farming a lot of extra runs for nothing.
How to Build the Team
Gear on, the last step is the team. Two setups cover most cases.
Standard Fire Anomaly team: Fione + a Fire Stun agent + a buff support. The rotation runs: the Stun agent applies the Anomaly first, the support puts up buffs, then Fione goes in with Blaze Attacks.
Double Anomaly team: Fione + a second Anomaly slot + a Support slot. The two Anomaly kits trigger in alternation, and Burn refreshes keep the coverage up.
One thing to understand here: Burn does not have to come from Fione herself — Attribute Anomaly DMG from any teammate can trigger it. That makes the second Anomaly slot a load-bearing pick rather than filler: it is what extends Burn uptime. The moment uptime drops, so does that 25%-of-ATK damage over time. Save the third slot for a Support, ideally one that restores Energy or hands out buffs, and do not bring an on-field damage Support — it will compete with Fione for field time.

Dates to Remember in Version 3.3
A build costs resources, and Version 3.3 happens to have an event that tops you up. “Cyber Miracle Medic, On Duty!” runs from October 28, 10:00 to November 16, 03:59: head to Universal Wrench, take the job from the shopkeeper, and repair the Bangboo that caught the virus. The event includes an “Antivirus Log” that unlocks a batch of repair stages each day — skip a day and you cannot make it up the next, so do not plan on bingeing it all on the final day. Feed the materials to Fione first and Severian second; that order decides how soon you can enter Shiyu Defense.
There are also two compensations worth grabbing while you are at it: server maintenance compensation and bug-fix compensation, 300 Polychrome each, sent to players who reached Inter-Knot Level 4 before October 21 at 06:00. Nothing to do with the build, but they expire without refund — claim them before you read on.
Two Traps That Catch Almost Everyone
Do not build her like an Attack agent. Her damage comes from Attribute Anomaly DMG plus Burn damage over time, not from Basic Attack or Special Attack direct damage. Stacking ATK and CRIT stats the way you would on an Attack agent returns far less than stacking Anomaly Proficiency. If your stat sheet looks impressive and your numbers in combat look flat, this is almost always the reason.
Do not casually swap Anomaly Mastery off Slot 6. Plenty of players trade it for ATK to chase a little more damage, then find Anomaly buildup slows down, Burn lands later, and the entire rotation runs half a beat behind — nothing feels right afterwards.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Fione FAQ
How much Anomaly Proficiency does Fione need?
A: 155 is the starting line; past that, each point adds 0.7% Anomaly CRIT Rate. 255 is the full-CRIT line, where 30% base plus a 70% gain equals 100%.
Do CRIT substats do anything for her?
A: No. Her Anomaly CRIT Rate is set only by the 30% base from her Core Passive and the Anomaly Proficiency threshold; CRIT Rate substats on Drive Discs do not factor in.
Signature W-Engine or Cinema 1 — which first?
A: The signature first. The W-Engine amplifies the structural bonuses of the Anomaly system, while Cinema 1 is a stat patch; going without the signature leaves the bigger hole in her build.
When does Cyber Miracle Medic end?
A: November 16 at 03:59. Repair stages unlock daily, and progress is gated by the day.
Can she work without a second Anomaly slot?
A: She works, but coverage suffers. Burn is triggered by Attribute Anomaly DMG from any teammate, so skipping the second Anomaly slot noticeably cuts the uptime of that 25%-of-ATK damage over time.
On any Zenless Zone Zero tier list, Fione sits as a system piece, not a plug-and-play slot for every team.
The reason you reroll Anomaly Proficiency on Slot 4 before CRIT stats is simple: below 155 those CRIT substats return nothing at all, which makes rerolling them pure waste.
Action Checklist
- Claim both 300-Polychrome version compensations from your in-game mail before November 20.
- Finish the 4-piece Drive Disc set first, then reroll Slot 4 for Anomaly Proficiency.
- Stop at 155 Anomaly Proficiency and reassess before deciding whether to push for 255.
- Run the Cyber Miracle Medic Antivirus Log every day — do not let it pile up.
- Decide before November 11 at 23:59 whether to pull on the first-phase band.
