A Wind Attack agent does not build like an Anomaly character. Drift the wrong way on stats and the sheet still looks fine while every fight lands a notch short. So this guide goes in order: the timeline first, then W-Engine, Drive Discs and team, and finally how to spend stamina over the last four days and whether to keep pulling. Read it once and that screen stops being intimidating.
The short version: Severian is a Wind Attack agent. Give him the signature W-Engine Cage of Forbidden Sin plus crit-focused Drive Discs, and prioritise CRIT Rate, then CRIT DMG, then ATK%. The team needs a Wind Anomaly or Stun unit to help him convert those buffs. Lock all of it in before the first-half banner closes at 11:59 on November 10.
Version 3.3, “Journey Back to the Sky”, launched on October 20. The first-half Exclusive Channel, Phase 039-1, runs until 11:59 on November 10 and features both S-Rank agents, Fione and Severian.

Four Days Left in ZZZ 3.3 First Half: Read the Timeline First
3.3 adds two S-Rank agents, Fione (Fire · Anomaly) and Severian (Wind · Attack), and reruns Vilena (Wind · Anomaly) and Norma (Fire · Stun). Two new W-Engines arrive with them: Nirvana’s First Plume (Anomaly) and Cage of Forbidden Sin (Attack). The main story chapter “Journey Back to the Sky” opens at the same time.
Remember This Line First: 11:59 on November 10
The first-half channel ends at 11:59 on November 10, then the second half begins. Counting from today, that leaves four days. There is not much you can actually accomplish in four days: farm enough Ascension and skill materials for Severian, and decide whether to spend on Fione in this banner. Everything else can wait. Those two cannot.
Don’t Forget the Free Ten-Pull You Get for Logging In
“All-New Broadcast” hands out 10 Encrypted Master Tapes for seven cumulative logins, and “Mmhmm From the Sky” gives 10 Bangboo Vouchers. No fighting required, just log in before November 10 and claim them. Freebies like this are the easiest thing to forget, and remembering on the last day while you are busy grinding is too late.

Severian Build in ZZZ: Choosing the W-Engine and Drive Discs
ZZZ Severian Build — the core idea is that his damage follows the Attack structure, chaining Basic Attacks into EX Special Attacks. The point of the build is not to bury one stat under everything else; it is to lift both crit stats high enough to absorb every buff. Get that right and every later choice falls into place.
W-Engine and Drive Discs: Lock These Two Down First
Cage of Forbidden Sin is the new S-Rank Attack W-Engine from the ZZZ 3.3 banner, arriving alongside Severian, so it is effectively his best-in-slot weapon. Without the signature, any Attack W-Engine with CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG as its substat will do as a stopgap. One warning: do not grab an Anomaly W-Engine just for the base ATK, because an Attack agent gets nothing out of Anomaly Proficiency.
Run Drive Discs as 4+2. The 4-piece should give Wind DMG or Attack DMG (check the in-game set descriptions for exact names and values) and the 2-piece fills in ATK% or CRIT Rate. Slot 4 takes CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, slot 5 takes Wind DMG Bonus, and slot 6 takes ATK%. Once the main stats are in place, push CRIT Rate past 60% first and only then spend the rest on CRIT DMG. Do not invert that order.
Substats: Below 60% CRIT Rate, “Double Crit” Means Nothing
The value order is CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > ATK% > PEN.
Severian’s own buffs already hand him a large amount of ATK, so pouring more ATK into substats dilutes badly. And without enough CRIT Rate, all the CRIT DMG in the world only crits now and then, which leaves the damage unstable. The same priority is colour-coded in GameHub’s ZZZ build sheet, so use it as a filter while upgrading. If a disc rolls double crit on the substats, keep it even when the main stat sits a tier low.

Severian Team in ZZZ: Who Opens the Damage Window
With the build finished, plenty of players take him out solo, get the combo interrupted three times in a row, and start doubting the build. Is the build wrong? Usually not. The problem is the team.
Severian needs teammates to carve out his damage window; he cannot hold the field on his own. The team shape is fixed: Severian, one Wind Anomaly or Stun agent, and one Support or Defense agent.
If you have Vilena, slot her in. She is a Wind · Anomaly agent and reruns this patch. A Wind Anomaly unit covers Severian’s same-element buffs, and two Wind characters together give the cleanest element alignment, which pays off clearly against Wind-weak enemies. If Vilena is already on the account, build this pair first.
If not, run a generic Stun unit plus a Support. Let the Stun agent push the enemy into Daze first, then have Severian dump the whole EX Special Attack rotation inside the stun window. Overall DPS drops a tier, but the upside is that nothing extra needs pulling.

ZZZ 3.3 Resources and Pulls: Where the Four Days Go, and Whether to Chase the Banner
Two things remain: where the stamina goes, and whether to keep pulling.
Spend Stamina on Guarantees Before Gambles
From November 7 to 11:59 on November 10 there are only four days, so stamina has to go where it turns into power immediately. Ascension and skill materials first, Drive Disc upgrade materials second, Bangboo last. Character and skill levels are linear, so every run pays out; Drive Discs are a dice roll, and four days may not produce the piece you want.
Don’t Blow All Your Stamina on Drive Discs on Day One
Critical Node drops are random, so across four days run it two or three times a day, assemble the discs with the right main stat first, and reroll substats gradually. Dumping every point of stamina in one session invites three problems at once: wrong main stats, empty stamina, and no materials farmed. ZZZ Drive Disc stats show in practice that spreading those runs over three days yields roughly two more usable discs than a single all-in session.
Pull or Skip: Does Your Team Lack That Last Push?
If your main DPS is Fire or Ice and nobody on the team reliably punishes Wind weakness, Severian is a direct patch and is usable the moment you get him. On an account that already has a finished Wind main DPS, his return is low, and those Polychrome are better saved for 3.4.
On pity: 90 pulls for an S-Rank and a 50/50 on the limited banner, so the worst case is 180 pulls. If you hold fewer than 90, look at the second-half banner after November 10 instead of forcing it on the final day.
Back to that screen from the beginning: six empty slots, a pile of materials, and a signature weapon still undecided. Which piece to click first, where the materials go, whether to touch the banner — the order should be clear now.

Zenless Zone Zero FAQ: Common Questions About Severian
Do I need Severian's signature W-Engine?
A: It's not a must, but the gap is noticeable. His signature W-Engine, Incarcerating Grip, has substats and a passive effect that both align with the Attack specialty. Any replacement should at least have a Crit Rate substat; otherwise, the pressure on your Drive Disc farming goes up a notch.
Should I re-farm a Drive Disc with a mismatched main stat?
A: It depends on the substats. If a disc has double crit substats (Crit Rate + Crit DMG), keep it equipped for now. A main stat that's one tier off costs you roughly 8% to 12% — still better than having no disc to wear.
Can I still pull the Phase 1 characters after November 10?
A: No. The Phase 1 channel closes at 11:59 AM on November 10. If you want Phoenix or Severian, your only option is to wait for a rerun.
Which Bangboo should I exchange my Boopons for?
A: Prioritize the Bangboo whose element matches your team. The login event gives out 10 Boopons — just enough for one 10-pull, so use them before they expire.
Who can fill in if I don't have Velina?
A: Run a generic Stun unit plus a Support. The key is letting the Stun unit inflict Daze first, so Severian can unload his EX Special Attack inside the Daze window. Your DPS will be a tier lower, but it can clear the content.

Your Four-Day Action List for Zenless Zone Zero
- November 7: Log in to claim the cumulative rewards from "All-New Program" and "En-Nah Into Your Lap," and confirm your Encrypted Master Tapes and Boopons have arrived.
- November 7–9: Farm Severian's ascension and skill materials, and prioritize raising his skill levels to 8.
- Drive Discs: Run Critical Node 2–3 times a day; get the main stats settled first, and keep any disc with double crit substats.
- Before 11:59 AM on November 10: Decide whether to chase Phoenix; if you're short of 90 pulls, wait for Phase 2.
- Once the build is settled: Lock in the team as Severian + Wind Anomaly/Stun + Support, then run a round of Shiyu Defense.
Follow-up changes in 3.3 will be posted on the Zenless Zone Zero section of gghubs.com.
