Wuthering Waves 3.7 Dream Nexus: The Seven Regions Won’t Open — Follow the Main Story
First, a bucket of cold water: Dream Nexus is not a region you can click open on the map. All seven regions hang off one Tidal Task — Chapter 4, Act 4, “Dream Nexus: Form Born of the Heart” — and the map opens exactly as far as the quest leads you.
Yet many people’s first instinct is to force their way in. You can in fact walk into the regions, but the quest doesn’t trigger and gathering nodes don’t refresh; you run around for half a day, check the progress bar, and it hasn’t budged. Frustrating? The problem was never your reflexes — it’s your order of operations.
Following the main story is actually the cheapest route
The new regions have no standalone waypoints, and the official intent is plain: go at the main story’s pace. Only when the story reaches the end of “Dream Nexus: Form Born of the Heart” do all seven regions unlock. The mistake people in a hurry make is skipping that stretch and walking straight in — the door is open, but the place is empty.
So are 11 days actually enough?
Today is October 31. Version 3.7 finished updating at 04:00 on September 30 and, per the announcement, runs about 42 days, putting the wrap-up around November 11 — roughly 11 days left.
Enough? The main story plus the Fantasia quest is a volume you can clear in a week at a normal hour a day. So the real problem was never a shortage of time — it’s that you never started. Once all seven regions are open, that’s when the more important item below comes up: farming Echoes.

Three Sonata Sets and Five New Echoes: Fill the Piece Count First, Talk Substats Later
3.7 adds five Echoes — Formbreaker Wraith, Last-Breath Soul, Skypatrol Spear Guard, Wondrous Bloom Puppet and Jade Nether Serpent — plus one brand-new 4-Cost Echo; at the same time it introduces three 5-piece Sonata sets: Heart That Bears Dreams and Lights the World, Mirror-Shadow at the Instant of Coursing Lightning, and Blossom of Crimson-Dyed Remembrance.
How do you tell the three apart? The announcement gave only names and piece counts — not a single number — so you judge by role. The two new 5-stars this version pushes, Xin (Electro · Rectifier) and Lockshade (Electro · Sword), are both Electro, so the set with “Coursing Lightning” in its name is plainly reserved for Electro teams; by their names, the other two lean toward support and damage amplification. As for the actual stats, you’ll have to open the Echo screen in game.
Complete the five pieces first, then talk substats
Here is a trap people step in constantly: rerolling substats before the set is even complete.
A 5-piece set pays out in steps — completing all five is worth far more than nudging substats from “two good lines” to “four good lines.” So the order is reversed: fill the piece count first, reroll later. Upgrade materials are scarce; one complete set beats three half-finished ones.
Oh, and 3.7 also adds Echo stacking storage, one of the genuinely useful system changes this version. Your bag used to be choked with low-tier Echoes you had to clear one by one; now identical ones stack, and farming efficiency climbs visibly. Just clear your bag once before you start, so the stack cap doesn’t block you first.
With the bag cleared, the next question writes itself: where do you actually farm these things?

Two Tacet Fields and One Tacet Discord Encampment: The Two Farming Routes
3.7 gives you two: two new Tacet Fields — the Sunkenheart Tacet Field and the Emberheart Tacet Field — plus one Dream Nexus Tacet Discord encampment.
The difference is blunt. A Tacet Field is a targeted dungeon: it costs stamina and drops Echoes of the matching Sonata. The encampment is an open-world respawn point: no stamina, but far more random output. Short on time? Prioritize Tacet Fields. Short on stamina? Top up pieces at the encampment. Put plainly, one buys certainty with stamina and the other gambles with your time — pick whichever you’re shorter of.
As for the two new Phantom Echoes, “Phantom: Skypatrol Spear Guard” and “Phantom: Unquenched Hunter,” they need a separate note. Phantoms are cosmetic, collection-oriented content and don’t touch your stats. Go get them if you like them, but don’t let them eat the time you need for set farming — 11 days really isn’t roomy.
Gear is handled, but one loose end is still waiting: with the main story done, how do you pick up the Fantasia quest?
The Fantasia Quest “A Jade Heart Like the Moon, Entrusting Mortal Longing”: One Chain, No Shortcuts
Of the new quest types in 3.7, the first is “A Jade Heart Like the Moon, Entrusting Mortal Longing,” unlocked by completing the Chapter 4, Act 4 Tidal Task “Dream Nexus: Form Born of the Heart.”
The chain is fixed: Chapter 3 main story → Chapter 4, Act 4 “Dream Nexus: Form Born of the Heart” → the Fantasia quest “A Jade Heart Like the Moon, Entrusting Mortal Longing.” Three stages in series, no shortcut to copy. If you’re stuck in the middle, flip through your Tidal Task list and look for side quests you haven’t accepted — main chapters are often separated by mandatory tutorial quests, and missing one blocks everything.
The good news: the official listing files it under 3.7’s new quest types with no time limit attached (as of the October 30, 2026 announcement). In other words, you can still finish it after the version ends. That is a completely different animal from event check-ins, which really do expire — the Moonlit Gift, for instance, is a 7-day check-in, and if you miss it, it’s gone.
So it doesn’t need to compete with the main story for your time: push the story to the unlock point first, then take the rest at your own pace.
Quests and gear are covered. Last, a handful of small things that get skipped easily but genuinely shape the experience.

3.7 System Changes: The Ones Veterans Will Actually Use
Of 3.7’s quality-of-life work, the two most useful for long-time players are Story Recap mode and 3D Dynamic Lineup.
Story Recap opens recaps of the Tidal Tasks from versions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3. Returning players who want to catch up on story don’t need a fresh account — just walk in and watch. The scope is those three stretches only; earlier and later versions aren’t included.
3D Dynamic Lineup is a showcase feature: pose your team and adjust the camera in the team screen, and the camera itself got usability improvements. Neither touches combat power — pure experience polish, and anyone who loves screenshots should enjoy it.
One more commonly misunderstood point: tiered client resource downloading is in a limited test phase in 3.7. If you weren’t selected, don’t keep reinstalling the client — just wait for the full rollout. On pre-download: 3.7 reserves 46 GB on PC (about 26 GB of actual download) and 20 GB on mobile (about 13 GB). Those are 3.7’s numbers; they’ll change next version.
By now there’s really only one thing left to say: the hard part of Dream Nexus isn’t the content, it’s the “haven’t started.” Seven regions, three Sonata sets, two Tacet Fields, one Fantasia quest — laid out flat, that isn’t much. Eleven days at an hour a day clears the main story in a week, and the time left is plenty to complete a 5-piece set for your main DPS. Whether the substats land is up to luck, but getting the set on is the part you control.
The version will end, but the map and the Echoes won’t disappear with it — the thing actually counting down is those 11 days in your hands. How about pushing Chapter 4, Act 4 tonight? Finish it and you’ll find the map opens itself.

Wuthering Waves 3.7 Exploration FAQ
How do I get to Dream Nexus?
A: Follow the quest guidance for the Chapter 4, Act 4 Tidal Task “Dream Nexus: Form Born of the Heart.” The 7 regions unlock progressively with the main story and can’t be clicked open directly on the map.
Which of the three new Sonata sets suits Xin?
A: Xin is an Electro Rectifier character. Of the three, “Mirror-Shadow at the Instant of Coursing Lightning” points at the Electro system by name. The announcement published no stats for any set, so the Echo screen in game is the final word on substats.
Do Tacet Fields cost stamina?
A: Yes. Tacet Fields drop by set and consume stamina; the Tacet Discord encampment is an open-world respawn point that costs no stamina but has higher output variance. 3.7 adds 2 Tacet Fields, in Sunkenheart and Emberheart — if time is tight, farm the fields first.
Can the Fantasia quest still be done after the version ends?
A: The announcement as of October 30, 2026 attaches no time limit; it’s one of 3.7’s new quest types and can still be completed after the version ends. Only event check-in rewards have hard deadlines — the Moonlit Gift is a 7-day check-in, for example.
