The Banners: Two Anomaly Slots in the First Half, One Attack Unit in the Second
Start with the banners, before you ask which ZZZ character to pull. The biggest difference between the two halves of 3.3 isn't who is stronger — it's that the two sides scale off completely different damage. The first half runs until 11:59 on November 11, with Fire Anomaly Fioni and Wind Anomaly Verina rated up together and two Anomaly W-Engines on offer; the second half switches to Wind Attack Severian, with Nom rerunning in the same phase.
Fioni is a Fire Anomaly unit, and her core passive, Nirvana, does two things: while an enemy is Burning, the Attribute Anomaly damage it takes can crit — and when she takes a fatal hit, she revives on the spot once. The most valuable line here is that Anomaly damage can crit. Anyone who plays Anomaly teams knows that Anomaly ticks already make up a huge share of total damage, so letting them crit opens a whole new multiplier on the damage chain. It isn't a small stat bump — it unlocks damage you simply could not reach before. That said, if your team has no reliable Burn source, the passive only does half its job. So before you pull, ask yourself one question: can your team actually light that fire?
Verina is Wind Anomaly, paired with the W-Engine Linglang Liuxin, while Fioni's is Nirvana's First Plume. Both are Anomaly W-Engines, but their stat lines point in different directions, and swapping them around costs you value. One warning: not every character slots into the same Anomaly team — the W-Engine and the Agent have to be judged together. Plenty of people count their pulls for the character alone and leave the W-Engine slot empty. If you get the Agent but miss the W-Engine, is that team really complete?
If you plan to fill out the first half, get the W-Engine and Drive Discs ready before November 11. Anomaly teams are far more forgiving about Drive Disc sub-stats than burst teams: as long as the main stat is right you can use the set immediately and patch the sub-stats later. That's one of the rare low-stress parts of playing Anomaly. But low-stress still has a deadline — put the set together before the window closes. Don't wait until the character is in hand to find out you're stuck on Drive Discs. That's the part that really stings.
Severian arrives in the second half as a Wind Attack unit, with Nom rerunning in the same phase. Attack units scale off the direct-damage multiplier, so they don't replace the two Anomaly units from the first half — they complement them. But let's be blunt up front: the developers still haven't published Severian's skill multipliers, core passive trigger conditions, or signature W-Engine stats, so don't treat the numbers circulating in the community as settled. In previews like this we only write what has been confirmed. Decide your pulls off someone else's math and you're the one who pays for it.
Nom, arriving in the same phase as Severian, is a rerun, not a new character. If you already have Nom, this phase adds no pull value for you; if you don't, the only question is whether it fills the gap in your team. A rerun isn't a bargain — it just means the chance came around again, and those two things are far apart.

The Timeline: Three Windows in Ten Days
Banners covered — now for how to arrange the ten days. Mapping the windows out clearly is worth far more than refreshing the banner page again and again. The real difficulty in 3.3 isn't who to pull; it's knowing when to do what.
The Advance Bounty – Area Patrol window runs from 04:00 on November 4 to 03:59 on November 9, with doubled challenge rewards. It requires Inter-Knot Level 21 or above, plus completion of the reputation commission Path of the Proxy I. There's an ordering problem here: the reputation commission is a prerequisite, so you can't run the two side by side. If you haven't started Path of the Proxy I, the double window essentially doesn't exist for you. Is five days enough to finish the reputation chain? Check your progress in game today.
Once the double rewards are done, the first half's deadline is right behind them: the first-half banner ends at 11:59 on November 11, the same day the second half opens. That's the real cost of waiting to see what the second half looks like — you hand the first-half window away. Nobody is telling you to pull today; you're being told to decide today. The deadline for the decision comes earlier than the pulling itself.
There's one more item on that same day, and it's the easiest to bury under a shiny new banner: All-New Broadcast gives 10 Encrypted Master Tapes for 7 total logins, running until 03:59 on December 1; Boop From Above gives 10 Boopons for 7 total logins, from 10:00 on November 11 to 03:59 on December 1. The two resources aren't interchangeable — Master Tapes pull Agents, Boopons pull Bangboo. Don't dismiss these as small: a ten-pull of Master Tapes is genuine progress if you're building pity. The only real risk is that on November 11 you're so busy staring at the new banner that the check-in slips your mind.

The Events: One Story Line, One Gameplay Line
With the schedule sorted, one more thread can't be skipped: this patch's events. 3.3 runs two in parallel — one leans story, one leans gameplay. Neither needs rushing, but both punish you for leaving them to the final week.
Ghostly Manor: Haunted House runs from 10:00 on October 22 to 03:59 on November 30, open once you reach Inter-Knot Level 20 and finish Main Story Chapter 1, Interlude. Clear every stage of the mission mode and you can claim the limited Delusion Angel outfit in the support event Angelic Rally; the A-rank W-Engine Candlelight Trick (Edge) also comes from this line. The key words are every stage of the mission mode — the outfit and the W-Engine both hang off it, and unfinished means zero. Limited outfits have no re-entry point once the patch ends. Is one outfit really worth a whole patch of misery?
Cyber Surgeon, On Call! is the gameplay line, with an event description posted on the official site on October 26. For the exact reward structure, go by the in-game event page — the developers haven't released a full numbers table, so we won't extrapolate one here. The moment you see apparently or supposedly, close that page and open the in-game description. It beats any second-hand source.
Beyond the events, on October 25 the developers also released a boss dossier, Ether Mutant · Trivia. Dossiers like this usually set up the patch's high-difficulty content, so it's safer to wait until it enters Shiyu Defense before judging the mechanics. No need to change any plans for it now — just know it exists.

How to Pull: Three Cases, Opposite Answers
Banners, timeline, events — all laid out. Now for the most practical question of all: over these two weeks, who do you pull? Before you scroll the ZZZ tier list, work out whether you're actually missing a Fire Anomaly slot. A tier list ranks how strong a unit is on its own; what you need to answer is how strong that unit is in your team, and the two answers are often opposites.
If your team lacks a Fire Anomaly slot, the first half is the only current window, and it closes at 11:59 on November 11. I keep bringing up that time because the second half opens the same day the first half closes — wait, and it's genuinely gone. Fioni's value rests entirely on that one line — Anomaly damage can crit — and it peaks when you already have a reliable Burn source. So whether this banner is the last piece of your puzzle or one more piece you can't use comes down to whether your team has that fire right now. And if it doesn't — what do you plan to replace it with?
If your team already has a Fire Anomaly unit, the first half doesn't need your pulls. Attack and Anomaly scale off different multipliers, so waiting to see Severian's real numbers in the second half is far safer than guessing now. That isn't caution, it's trading uncertainty for certainty. The one thing you can be certain of today is that nothing has been confirmed yet, so don't stake your pulls on a rumor.
The third case is the most common: you're not spending, or you only buy the monthly pass. Take the guaranteed returns first — double Area Patrol from November 4 to 9, the Ghostly Manor mission mode, and the two check-in rewards. None of them cost a single pull, so collect them all before you even discuss banners. Put plainly, the double window and the limited outfit are free and the banner is a gamble. Take what's free first and the gamble at least has a floor under it; do it the other way round and you often end up with neither.
The hard part isn't choosing who, it's knowing when to act. Fioni offers a guaranteed Fire Anomaly window, Severian offers upside nobody has published yet; Area Patrol and check-ins offer returns with no gamble attached, and the outfit offers something that expires for good. Notice that what people actually regret is never the lost 50/50 — it's the free things they let slip. Windows don't wait for you to be ready; they close on schedule. Once that sinks in, 3.3 isn't that hard.
ZZZ 3.3 FAQ
Do the first-half and second-half banners share pity?
A: No. The first half ends at 11:59 on November 11 and the second half opens the same day. Pity is counted separately for each banner under the in-game rules and doesn't carry across, so check your current count before pulling.
What does the double Area Patrol require?
A: Inter-Knot Level 21 or above plus the reputation commission Path of the Proxy I. The window runs from 04:00 on November 4 to 03:59 on November 9 — five days, with doubled rewards.
How do I get the Delusion Angel outfit?
A: Clear every stage of the Ghostly Manor mission mode, then claim it in the support event Angelic Rally. The event runs until 03:59 on November 30.

ZZZ 3.3: Your November Action Order
- Do the reputation commission Path of the Proxy I first to open the double Area Patrol window on November 4.
- Farm Area Patrol from November 4 to 9 — the returns over this stretch are guaranteed.
- Clear the Ghostly Manor mission mode early; the outfit and the A-rank W-Engine both sit on that line.
- Decide whether the first half needs Fioni, and act before 11:59 on November 11.
- Remember the Boopon check-in at 10:00 on November 11 — it's a separate line from the Master Tape one.
