Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 is titled "Before the Moon Rises, Dance with the Beast" and went live at 06:00 on September 28, 2026, running until 06:00 on November 11, 2026 . Both new sets drop from the new Cavern of Corrosion, Path of the Songstress, and the official notes spell out the four-piece effects in enough detail to judge fit without guessing. Meanwhile the Planar Ornament double-drop event ends at 03:59 on October 25.
Applicable version: 4.6 "Before the Moon Rises, Dance with the Beast" (live 2026-09-28, ends 2026-11-11 06:00)
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 overview: 19 days left
From October 23, patch 4.6 has 19 days left and three anchors: the Planar Ornament double drop ends at 03:59 on October 25, the bug-fix compensation mail expires at 23:59 on October 28, and the patch itself ends at 06:00 on November 11 .
Do not miss the two compensations
4.6 shipped 300 Stellar Jade as downtime compensation and 300 as bug-fix compensation, 600 total. The bug-fix mail must be collected before 23:59 on October 28, 2026 .
Currency Wars resets when 4.6 ends
Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game resets part of its rewards and progress when 4.6 ends, including bond links, the data bank, promotion levels and standard match ranks, while matches during 4.6 grant double promotion points . Unclaimed rewards disappear with the season.
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 Dreamlit Minstrel: who it is for
The official text is precise. Two-piece: SPD +6 percent. Four-piece: when the wearer uses a Skill or Ultimate on another ally, that ally's Joy increases by 16 percent for 3 turns; if the wearer holds 10 or more "Well Done" points, all allies additionally gain 12 percent CRIT DMG for 3 turns .
The trigger is "on another ally"
The key phrase is "on another ally". The wearer must be a character who buffs teammates, not one who buffs themselves . Put this set on a pure damage dealer and the four-piece never fires once.
The "Well Done" gate
The extra 12 percent CRIT DMG requires 10 or more "Well Done" points . That counter belongs to a specific mechanic, so only characters who can stack it reach the second half of the effect. The real target is a support who both buffs allies and generates "Well Done".

Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 Heretic of the Forbidden Fruit: who it is for
The second set is blunter. Two-piece: CRIT DMG +16 percent. Four-piece: basic attack damage +36 percent, and using a basic attack raises the wearer's ATK by 20 percent for 2 turns .
Basic attack share decides it
The 36 percent bonus only applies to basic attacks, so the test is hard: if more than half of a character's damage comes from basic attacks, the set is worth farming; if damage comes from Skill or Ultimate, the character only gets the two-piece 16 percent CRIT DMG . That is a mechanic mismatch, not a numbers shortfall.

Watch the 20 percent ATK uptime
The ATK buff triggers on basic attacks and lasts 2 turns , so the rotation has to keep attacking. Miss two turns of basic attacks and the buff falls off, which is easy on slow characters.
Honkai: Star Rail Path of the Songstress: efficient farming
Both sets come from one Cavern of Corrosion, Path of the Songstress . One stage means you cannot farm a single set on demand; each clear rolls between the two, so decide your primary target before spending Trailblaze Power.
Primary target and byproducts
Treat the set you need as primary and keep the other set's drops instead of salvaging them immediately . Salvaging is the most common waste, since the byproduct set may fit a future character.
Trailblaze Power: traces before relics
Traces first, relics second. Traces are guaranteed growth while relics are probabilistic, so the same Trailblaze Power buys more on traces . At patch end, certainty wins.

Honkai: Star Rail Planar Ornament double drop: last two days
Planar Fission runs from 04:00 on October 12 to 03:59 on October 25. During the event, Simulated Universe immersion rewards and Ornament Extraction grant double rewards, and the double-drop count does not reset during the event . Today is October 23, leaving two days.
Spend remaining runs on your main carry
The double count is finite and does not refresh, so spend it on Planar Ornaments your current team wears, not on a character you have not built . The test: can this ornament go on your main team right now?
Do not burn runs on transition pieces
Transition pieces get replaced within weeks, so double rewards on them are wasted .
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 relic triage: enhance or stop
Verdict: enhance transition relics to +9 and stop there. Enhancement cost climbs steeply after +9 while transition pieces last under three weeks . Saving materials for the final set is the practical play at patch end.

When to salvage outright
Salvage anything with the wrong main stat and a mismatched set; keep one spare when the main stat is right but the set is wrong . The spare exists to fill set counts temporarily.
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 FAQ

At 03:59 on October 25, 2026. The double-drop count does not reset during the event; check the event UI for remaining runs .
