Love and Deepspace Builds: Cores, Memories and Tournament Teams

Love and Deepspace Combat Basics: Memories and Cores

Get the layer order straight first, or you will invest in the wrong place.

What Memories and Cores are

Memories are the combat cards themselves, split into Solar and Lunar types. Each Memory can equip two Cores of specified different shapes, and Cores further reinforce HP, ATK and DEF on that Memory . Cores come in six colors, each colour divided into α, β, γ and δ shapes, and every Core can be levelled with Core Energy up to level 9.

Fixing combat Memory levels

When your combat Memories lag on levels, the most direct fix is farming Hearts for EXP bottles to level the cards. That is a player-side practice, not an official instruction.

One caveat: the Love and Deepspace official site has no readable announcement body, so version-level detail cannot be pulled directly. Every number below is a community source, which makes it third-tier. Verify against your own account before spending.

Love and Deepspace Core Building: Main Stats First

Core value splits into two layers. Main stats set the direction; substats set the ceiling.

The numbers behind crit stacking

Per community-compiled values: the δ Core's main stat is Crit, reaching 11.2% at max level, with each single enhancement level adding 0.5% Crit. Once the Crit main stat reaches +12, each Solar Memory provides 4 Crit substat lines and each Lunar Memory provides 8; unascended, each Lunar Memory contributes 4.1% Crit, so four Lunar Memories total 16.4%.

Put together, those three figures point at one practical conclusion: Lunar Memories already carry a serious crit baseline, so crit is cheaper to stack than ATK.

Build order

Step Action Reason
1 Get at least one Crit line on the α and β Cores of both Solar Memories Solar is the base layer; secure it first
2 Include a Crit line on the γ Core of all four Lunar Memories More Lunar slots, more cumulative value
3 Make Crit the main stat on the δ Core, then hunt crit substats Main stat beats an equal substat value
4 Spend whatever is left on ATK and other stats Lowest marginal return

This order is my translation of the community crit breakdown plus a practical sequencing of it. Actual substat rolls still come down to luck.

Love and Deepspace Tournament: Why Not Auto-Deploy

Tournament scoring differs from story progression, and it rewards output structure matching the stage.

The problem with one-tap deployment

Auto-deploy sorts by overall combat power and ignores damage type and stage mechanics. Community-collected full-clear cases show manually adjusted teams beating auto-deployed ones .

How to build by hand

  1. Read the stage's dominant enemy type and element bias first.
  2. Lock your main damage slot to the element-matching Memory pair. Do not compromise on element for raw power.
  3. Fill remaining slots with function: survival, grouping, or buffs.
  4. After building, check the damage share. If your main damage is too small a slice, the structure is wrong.

Solar Memory differences at 5-star

Community databases list attack values for 5-star Solar Memories: Xavier's "Lightseeker" sits at 132 ATK and 60 DEF, while Zayne sits at 120 ATK with higher DEF, which positions him as the durable, recovery-oriented option . The takeaway: same rarity is not the same role, and Zayne is not the attack-panel priority.

Love and Deepspace Resource Planning

Priority table

Priority Item Note
1 Main damage Memory levels Levels are the base multiplier
2 δ Core Crit main stat on the main damage Memory Highest single-point return
3 Crit substats on Lunar Memories Four-card cumulative value
4 Function slot Memory levels Survival only
5 Attack substats on Solar Memories Lowest marginal return

Reading the score, not the panel

Tournament scoring rewards output structure, which is why a lower-power manual team can beat a higher-power auto team. After a run, look at the damage share rather than the star rating: if your main damage Memory pair holds the majority of the total, the structure is doing its job and further gains come from levels and crit rolls. If the damage is spread evenly across three slots, you are running three mediocre units instead of one carry plus function, and no amount of Core Energy fixes that.

Using Core Energy

Core Energy levels Cores up to 9. Concentrate it on your main damage dealer's δ Core rather than spreading it. The level 9 cap means a spread allocation leaves the whole roster sitting at low levels.

Also mind the equip restriction: each Memory can hold only two Cores of specified different shapes, so α, β, γ and δ have pairing constraints. You cannot stack whatever you like, so check which shapes you own before committing enhancements, otherwise you burn resources on a shape you cannot use.

Love and Deepspace FAQ

Q1: What is the δ Core's main stat?
A: Community guides list the δ Core main stat as Crit, reaching 11.2% at max level, with 0.5% Crit added per enhancement level.

Q2: How much crit do four Lunar Memories provide?
A: Each unascended Lunar Memory provides 4.1% Crit, for 16.4% across four.

Q3: Can I use the tournament's auto-deploy?
A: Not recommended. Auto-deploy sorts by combat power and ignores element and mechanic matchups; community full-clear cases all use manual teams.

Q4: Who has the higher attack panel, Zayne or Xavier?
A: Community data lists Xavier's Lightseeker at 132 ATK and 60 DEF, while Zayne sits at 120 ATK with higher DEF, reading as a durability and recovery option.

Q5: Who should get Core Energy?
A: Your main damage dealer's δ Core. Cores cap at level 9, so spreading energy leaves the whole team at low levels.

Love and Deepspace Action Checklist

  1. Build an element-matched Memory pair for your main damage slot before chasing panels.
  2. Core priority: δ Crit main stat, then γ crit substats on Lunar Memories, then α/β crit lines on Solar Memories.
  3. Build tournament teams manually and use auto-deploy only to compare raw power.
  4. Concentrate Core Energy on the main damage δ Core.
  5. Give function slots just enough survival investment and route everything else to damage.
