Let's put the conclusion first. Across these 21 doubled claims, our recommendation is 12 runs into Vesna, 6 into Voisanne, and the last 3 into patching the weak spots in your inventory.
Why that number? It comes down to a single line: doubling only pays off big when it lands on high-value resources. Your main DPS's artifacts decide whether you can full-star the Abyss; your support's artifacts only decide how firmly you stand in our Genshin character tier list. Splitting 21 runs evenly across every domain looks fair, but in practice it lets supports eat into your main DPS's drop odds.
Three rules, and that's the whole thing: Adventure Rank 20 or above with the relevant Domain of Blessing unlocked; the double applies when you spend Original Resin to claim the treasure after clearing a Domain of Blessing; and you get three doubled claims per day.
Genshin 7.1 Sanctifying Surge: what exactly gets doubled in this 7-day window
Sanctifying Surge runs from 04:00 on October 26 to 03:59 on November 2, exactly seven full days: three runs a day, 21 in total.
Version 7.1, "Requiem for the Underworld," landed on September 23, and 7.2 is set for November 4. Line those up and the picture is obvious: these seven days are 7.1's last double-drop window, and once the next version rotates the sets, the chance is gone.
The window is seven days wide. Don't push it back
Opens 04:00 October 26, closes 03:59 November 2. Today is October 29, so counting on your fingers, four days remain. And here is the part people get wrong: doubled attempts refresh daily, and anything unused does not carry over to the next day. So the "skip today, do six tomorrow" plan simply does not exist.
21 runs over 7 days is a ceiling, not a floor. Skip a day and you genuinely lose three runs. Nobody is making them up for you.

What doubles is the claim, not an extra clear
The double applies at the moment you "spend Original Resin to claim domain rewards." In plain terms: you walk into the domain as usual, pay the 20 Resin, and the payout for that one claim is doubled. It is not a free extra clear. The stamina cost is still 20 points; you simply leave with two of everything.
So 21 doubled claims save you the Resin of 21 claims, the output equivalent of 420 Original Resin at 20 per run. Free stamina is free stamina, so take it.
Artifact domains only. Talent domains don't count
The event covers Domains of Blessing, meaning artifact domains. Talent books and weapon ascension materials sit outside the doubled range, so Genshin material refresh times need recalculating, which means confirming the domain type before you draw up the schedule. Don't queue for the wrong one.
Genshin 7.1's new characters: who should the 21 runs feed
7.1 brings two 5-stars: Vesna (Anemo, sword) and Voisanne (Hydro, catalyst). Vesna is an Anemo damage dealer who lets the team trigger the Stellar Swirl reaction and, under specific conditions, land Stellar Swirl damage; Voisanne covers both healing and support in Freeze and Stellar Swirl teams.
One exists to deal damage, the other to keep everyone alive. Can their artifacts be treated the same way? Obviously not.

Vesna: the main DPS, so build her first
Vesna plays as a Stellar Swirl damage dealer, so her sets revolve around Anemo DMG and the Stellar Swirl reaction. Prioritize domains that can supply Anemo DMG Bonus or reaction damage bonus. For exact set names and stat lines, trust what is in-game: the official patch notes do not break artifact stats down piece by piece.
Get the main DPS online first and the rest of the team is far easier to fit around her. Reverse that order and you are simply burning the most useful runs out of the 21.
Voisanne: she only needs to stay standing
She doubles as healer and support, so her main stats want Healing Bonus and HP, with Energy Recharge on the substats. Domains like this are about "good enough," not "fully built." Give her 5 or 6 of the 21 and she will hold her ground comfortably.
More runs for her will not make the team stronger; fewer runs for Vesna, and the Abyss may come down to those last two stars. The arithmetic is not hard. Once the order is settled, the next step is splitting the 21 runs across the calendar.
Genshin artifact domain picks: how the 12:6:3 split is derived
| Priority | What to farm | Runs | Rationale |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Vesna's best-in-slot set domain | 12 | Build the main DPS first |
| 2 | Voisanne's healing-oriented domain | 6 | Supports only need to hold up |
| 3 | Generalist, widely usable sets | 3 | Patch inventory gaps |
Our own schedule looks like this: the first four days go entirely to Vesna, days five and six switch to Voisanne, and the final day fills whatever the inventory is missing. The upside is that you stay on pace early and can still change your mind late.

Why the main DPS should take more than half
Same line as before: doubling only scales on high-value domains. Splitting 21 evenly just hands supports a share of your main DPS's odds.
Do you want two more Abyss stars, or two thousand more points of healing? We suspect you don't need us to answer that.
The hard part is the stat lines, not the set
Completing a set is only the beginning; the real difficulty is rolling the right main stat and substats. Within one set, a sands can roll ATK or Energy Recharge, a goblet can roll Elemental DMG or ATK, and a circlet can roll CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG.
One key point we have to flag: doubling raises the number of drops, not the quality of their stats. Farm more and the rolls still go sideways. So weight your runs toward the slot that is not finished yet. If you already own a pile of usable goblets, stop dumping 12 straight runs into a goblet domain. GameHub's artifact checklist tracks by slot, so one glance shows what you are missing.
Before you farm, make sure the door opens
The new 7.1 domains have unlock requirements, and a locked domain is a door you cannot walk through at all. Run the unlocks before you start. Don't discover on November 1 that the domain is still shut, because by the time you finish the story and the traversal, several days of double drops are already gone. Runs allocated. Next question: can your Resin keep up?
The Genshin Resin math: what 21 doubled claims cost in stamina

| Item | Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Per domain run | 20 Original Resin | In-game domain cost |
| Doubled claims | 21 | 7 days x 3 |
| Equivalent output | 420 Resin worth | 21 x 20 |
Is one day's Resin enough?
Natural regeneration is 1 Resin every 8 minutes, 180 a day, which is nine domain runs. Three doubled claims take a third of that, and the rest still has to cover weekly bosses and talent domains.
So our suggested order after logging in is: burn the three doubled runs first, then clear weekly bosses, then talent domains, and only then anything else. Double drops are time-limited and capped; weekly bosses and talent domains are there every day. Don't shuffle that order.
Don't drain every refill for two extra doubled runs
Resin refills are a finite resource, 7.1 wraps up on November 4, and 7.2 has new sets waiting.
Drain them all for two extra doubled runs and what will you farm with next patch? The trade-off is clear: you can skip a doubled run, but don't get careless with your refills. Resin math done, though artifacts are not the only thing keeping you busy across these seven days of 7.1.
Other 7.1 resource windows: don't stare only at artifacts
7.1's new enemy, the Blade of Drifting Snow, sits in Frostblight Peak. Below a certain HP threshold she seals herself inside an Ice Coffin, which is far easier to break with Electro or Anemo attacks while affected by the Stellar Flare reaction. If you fail to shatter it, she heals and forges ice blades to counterattack.
The Ice Palace Decree is free every week
7.1 adds the Ice Palace Decree: each week, pick up the task from Chayka, confidential secretary to the throne at Zapolyarny Palace, and after completing enough of them you receive furnishings and furnishing blueprints. It is a weekly freebie, so don't miss it.
What actually needs wrapping up before 7.2
Archon Quest Chapter VII Act III, "As If Waking from a White Night's Dream," and Act IV, "Requiem for the Underworld," are both permanently available. No need to race, so take your time.
Only two things carry real time pressure: the Sanctifying Surge double-drop window, and the event weapon "Silver Lamp" from "Silver Plume Traces the Moon, the Black Bird Bears the Jade." The first expires at 03:59 on November 2; the second follows the patch cycle. Clear what expires first, and that order is the safest. That covers what needs doing, so let's look at where people most often trip up.
Common Sanctifying Surge mistakes: three traps to avoid
Not every domain accepts the double
It has to be a Domain of Blessing, meaning an artifact domain. Talent and weapon domains do not participate. Confirm the domain type before you plan.
Attempts don't accumulate for tomorrow
Three a day, and any unused ones are void. 21 runs across 7 days is a ceiling, not a guarantee. We said it at the top and we will say it again, because it is the single easiest rule to lose out on.
If the domain isn't unlocked, extra attempts are worthless
We touched on unlocks earlier, so one more line: a locked Domain of Blessing cannot be entered, yet your attempts still refresh daily and still expire. Running the unlocks before you start beats everything else. Avoid the traps and most of the work is done, so let us close with a few final words.

Final word: don't leave these 21 runs until November 2
At bottom, Sanctifying Surge does not hand you "more artifacts," it hands you "less uncertainty." You cannot control whether the substats roll sideways, but you can control which domain absorbs these 21 runs.
That 12:6:3 from the opening is the most reliable answer we can give: the main DPS takes more than half, the support gets enough to function, and the remainder patches the weak spots. Seven days from now the sets rotate, and these 21 runs are genuinely unrepeatable.
Open the game today, check whether the domain is unlocked, then burn those three runs. Don't wait until November 1 to remember, because by then the window has a single day left and three runs at most. The questions below come up most often lately, so we have collected them here; read them and you can work straight off the action checklist.
Genshin 7.1 Sanctifying Surge FAQ
When does Sanctifying Surge end?
A: It ends at 03:59 on November 2, having opened at 04:00 on October 26. That is seven full days at three runs a day. As of October 29, four days remain.
Can doubled attempts be saved up?
A: No. Three per day, and unused attempts do not roll over.
What Adventure Rank is required?
A: Adventure Rank 20 or above, with the relevant Domain of Blessing already unlocked.
When does 7.2 arrive?
A: November 4, with "Hour of Ruin." The double window shuts on November 2, so don't wait.
Vesna or Voisanne: who should I farm first?
A: Vesna. She is an Anemo damage dealer whose artifacts directly decide her Abyss performance; Voisanne is a healer and support, and 5 or 6 of the 21 runs is plenty for her.
Genshin 7.1's banner brings two new characters, and both should be prepped in this order.
More than half of the 21 runs go to the main DPS because doubling magnifies the output of high-value domains, and an even split simply hands supports a share of the main DPS's odds.
Action checklist
- Confirm Adventure Rank 20 or above, and unlock every Domain of Blessing.
- Farm Vesna's set domain three times a day first, and don't leave it until the evening and forget.
- Add Voisanne's healing domain from day three onward.
- Don't drain your resin refills chasing extra doubled runs, because 7.2 has new sets.
- Use all 21 runs before 03:59 on November 2.
