Version 3.3, A Journey Back to the Sky, launched on Oct 21 and runs 42 days, closing on Dec 2 at 06:00. Forty-two days sounds roomy, yet what really expires is the small stuff tucked inside: Zenless Zone Zero Area Patrol
double rewards only last five days, Cyber Medic shuts down on Nov 16, and the ten Encrypted Master Tapes from the seven-day login hold out until Dec 1.
This Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 guide isn't going to sprawl across the whole version. We'll just walk through these few dates and the approach for each — about ten minutes of reading.

Forty-two days is a long time; only five of them expire
Three dates
- Area Patrol double rewards: Nov 4, 04:00 to Nov 9, 03:59 — two runs a day, reset at 04:00
- Cyber Medic: Oct 28, 10:00 to Nov 16, 03:59 — stages unlock one day at a time
- All-New Broadcast: from the 3.3 update to Dec 1, 03:59 — log in 7 days total for 10 Encrypted Master Tapes
The three of them don't trap you the same way. Double-reward quota wipes daily — whatever you don't clear that day is simply gone. Cyber Medic opens one stage a day, so a missed day can never be made up. The login looks the loosest, but every day you skip pushes the finish line another day out.
Windows first, version second
On announcement day everyone stares at the banners and the tier list; almost nobody reads the calendar. But banners get reruns, characters come back — events close on the dot.
Double rewards work the same way. It doesn't hand you extra runs; it doubles the payout of a stage you were going to farm anyway. So ten minutes inside these five days and ten minutes on Nov 20 are not remotely the same thing. Version progress can wait. These five days can't be squeezed in later.
Dates noted. Now the actual play. Of the three, Area Patrol is the most urgent — it ends on Nov 9.

Area Patrol double rewards: ten runs in five days, none skipped
Just three rules
The event runs from 2026/11/04 04:00 to 2026/11/09 03:59 (server time). During that window, any stage you clear in Area Patrol pays double — two buffed runs per day, resetting at 04:00. To take part you need Inter-Knot Level 21 or above, the reputation promotion mission Inter-Knot Path I completed, and Area Patrol already unlocked.
None of the three is hard; nobody simply tells you about them. Don't sleep on the eligibility check in particular — Level 21 plus Inter-Knot Path I is a hard requirement, not something you clear by playing a couple of rounds. Discover on the evening of Nov 4 that you never did the promotion, and day one is already gone; opening a five-day window one day short makes every plan after it feel crooked.
Reset is 4 AM, not midnight
This is the easiest thing to get wrong. Reset sits at 04:00, not 00:00. So two runs at 23:00 on Nov 8 count against the 8th's quota, and two more at 01:00 on Nov 9 count against the 9th's. The 9th is the final day; once 03:59 passes, the event is shut.
Which leads to the well-worn move: bank the 8th's quota, play it late at night, then top up with two runs in the small hours of the 9th — effectively squeezing one extra day out of the tail. It sounds like gaming the system, but it's really just a gap the rules left open. The price is still being online past 1 AM.
If your habit is clearing dailies at 11 PM before bed, then 00:00–03:59 on the 9th is your last chance. Four hours is plenty for two runs — the only real risk is forgetting.
Double rewards don't make every stage worth farming
The moment double rewards go live, most people's first instinct is to run the entire Area Patrol list from the top. There's really no need.
Doubling multiplies the per-run payout; it doesn't touch clear time. A stage that takes ten minutes still takes ten minutes doubled — you just get one extra drop out of it. A stage you finish in three minutes pays two drops in those same three minutes. Ten minutes either way: one run versus three. The choice doesn't take long.
Judge a stage on two things: how much a single run pays, and how fast you clear it. Hit both and the double is actually well spent. Ten runs where half are low-yield stages isn't a job well done — it's just a quota drained.
How to schedule ten runs
Two runs a day, ten across five days. Once the stages are picked, all that's left is the order. Here's how we usually lay it out:
- Day one: spend the quota probing two stages at different difficulties, and note the clear times and drops as you go. Don't rush to judgment.
- Days two through four: lock onto the highest-yield stage and repeat it. No shuffling around.
- The last day is for whatever quota is still unspent — including those two small-hours runs.
Follow that and you won't end five days with ten runs logged and half of them wasted. Someone else's guide is only a reference; the two lines you wrote down yourself are the accurate ones.
Who the drops are for
Area Patrol drops Drive Discs and upgrade materials. The official event page only says “double rewards” without listing per-stage values, so the in-game stage descriptions are still your source for specifics.
The trade-off is simple: short on Drive Disc main stats, farm the stage that drops the set you need; short on materials, top up character ascension first. Short on both, ascension still comes first. Drive Discs can be re-rolled patiently over time; a character stuck below an ascension breakpoint can't clear anything at all.
Fifteen minutes a day
Don't overthink the time. A run takes 3 to 5 minutes, two runs finish inside ten, and with load-in, load-out and the results screen, fifteen minutes covers it.
Which is why we'd slot it in after the dailies. Take the fixed income first, then decide which two stages get the double — reverse the order and it's far too easy to click into a low-yield stage on autopilot. It won't replace the main story; it's simply an extra payout in those fifteen minutes a day.
That's Area Patrol. The next event is more of a grind — not because it's hard, but because you can't stockpile it.

Cyber Medic: one stage a day, so hoarding it means hoarding nothing
A low bar, with a catch in “day by day”
“Cyber Medic, on call!” runs from 2026/10/28 10:00 to 2026/11/16 03:59. Inter-Knot Level 20 and Chapter 1: Interlude cleared is all it takes. During the event, drop by the Fluffy Wrench and lend Jepeline, the shop manager, a hand repairing the little Bangboo infected with the virus — stages unlock day by day.
Level 20 plus one chapter of main story: the bar is so low you barely need to prepare. The catch hides in the last three words — unlocked day by day.
The stages don't all drop at once; one opens per day. Want to save them and blast through over the last two days? Not possible. On the final day only the final stage opens, and anything missed earlier can't be recovered. Click in on the evening of Nov 15 and you won't find seven stages waiting — you'll find “today's stage”.
So the safest play is to log in and clear one stage a day before Nov 16. Two minutes a day beats grinding seven stages back to back on the last day — especially since on the last day you don't even have seven.
Are the rewards worth the runs?
Repair stages pay out Film, Bangboo Vouchers and upgrade materials. Film buys pulls, Bangboo Vouchers feed the Bangboo system — neither is there to look pretty.
Two minutes a day for that is not a hard call. This is the kind of income you either collect or don't; it can't be recovered afterwards.
Two events down. One line left, and it's the easiest of all — no fighting, just log in.

The free line: ten Encrypted Master Tapes — miss a day and a pull slips further away
Seven-day login
During All-New Broadcast, logging in 7 days total earns 10× Encrypted Master Tapes. The event runs from the 3.3 update all the way to 2026/12/01 03:59, and asks for Inter-Knot Level 5 or above plus the prologue The Rabbit and the Rope cleared.
Ten tapes is ten pulls — the cleanest free resource in this version. Note the word “total”: you don't have to log in consecutively, and a missed day doesn't reset the count. It just drags your finish date one day later each time. The version ends on Dec 2, so there's no slack to bank extras.
Skin discount: 330 saved, but ask yourself one thing first
Fione's “A Malady Called Life” and “Delusion Syndrome” are discounted from the 3.3 update through Dec 2, 05:59 — 1,350 Film Negative, back to 1,680 afterwards. The two-outfit bundle “Blank Reverie” is 30% off at 2,350. Severian's “Immaculate Rites” doesn't go on sale until Nov 11, 12:00, also at 1,350.
That's 330 saved per outfit, and the bundle undercuts buying both separately at 2,700 by another 350. The numbers do look good.
But skins add no combat power — everyone knows that, and every sale someone caves anyway. So before you check out, ask yourself: do you actually field this character? If yes, that 330 is money genuinely saved. If they're sitting in the warehouse gathering dust, 30% off is still money burned.
Don't lump Bangboo Vouchers in with Master Tapes
Bangboo Vouchers run on the Bangboo system; Encrypted Master Tapes buy character and W-Engine pulls. The two don't interchange. The Vouchers Cyber Medic hands out are small in number but steady — don't count on them to raise a Bangboo. The tapes are what matter, so don't break that seven-day login.
This is exactly where a lot of people get tangled when counting resources: treat every ticket as one kind of ticket and the ledger looks rich, but when you actually need something, none of them add up. Keep them separate and the picture stays honest.
That covers all three windows. One more look ahead — there's a stretch after Nov 11.

After Nov 11: short term by dates, long term by your own pace
Severian: read the material preview first
Severian's outfit goes live Nov 11 at 12:00. The devs also put out a “Severian ascension material preview” on Oct 30 — if you happen to be building him, that preview tells you in advance which material stages to farm, which beats scrambling for a guide at the last minute.
This is the only place in mid-3.3 that needs preparing ahead of time. Skins are a mood; materials are a calendar. If you want him up and running right after Nov 11, that Oct 30 preview is your shopping list.
Three weeks left: watching the dates is enough
3.3 ends Dec 2 at 06:00, so nearly four full weeks remain. The dates already fixed: Area Patrol double rewards Nov 4 to 9, a new round of events from Nov 11 at 10:00, and one more slot each on Nov 16 at 10:00 and Nov 25 at 04:00. The devs gave us times but not the full mode details, so the in-game event page still decides the specifics.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 banners, main story, City Life and character stories aren't time-limited, so do them whenever. New characters all have their entries on the Zenless Zone Zero tier list. Anything with an expiry date is dated; anything without one just waits for you — which is honestly a relief.
Only three times to remember: Nov 9, 03:59; Nov 16, 03:59; Dec 1, 03:59. Everything else can wait.
GameHub's guide hub keeps a table of limited windows and drops sorted by version number — faster than digging through announcements for dates.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 FAQ
How many double-reward runs can I get per day in Area Patrol?
A: Two buffed runs per day. Nov 4, 04:00 through Nov 9, 03:59 is five days, so ten runs at the very most.
Does unused double-reward quota carry over?
A: No. The buff resets daily, and anything unspent is not banked for the next day.
Can I clear all of Cyber Medic on the last day?
A: No. Repair stages unlock day by day and the event closes Nov 16 at 03:59; missed days can't be made up.
Do I have to fight the event to get Encrypted Master Tapes?
A: No fighting needed. During 3.3, logging in 7 days total earns 10 tapes; the requirements are Inter-Knot Level 5 or above and the prologue The Rabbit and the Rope cleared.
When does Fione's skin discount end?
A: Dec 2 at 05:59. The discounted price is 1,350 Film Negative, returning to 1,680 after that.
Action checklist
- After today's reset, run two Area Patrol stages — pick the one with the highest single-run payout.
- On Nov 8, hold your quota until the evening, then add two more runs in the small hours of the 9th for one extra round.
- Log in every day and clear one Cyber Medic stage — don't save them for Nov 16.
- Don't break the seven-day login; claim those 10 Encrypted Master Tapes before Dec 1, 03:59.
- On Nov 11 at 12:00, watch for Severian's outfit going live — the discount only runs to Dec 2.
Area Patrol sits after the dailies because its payout doubles a single run rather than granting extra runs. Finish the fixed income first, then decide which two stages get the double — do it the other way round and you'll waste quota.
