Wuthering Waves 3.6 Jingran Overview: Banner and Role

Banner and signature weapon

Jingran (5-star, Fusion, Broadblade) is obtained from the Where Santu Beckons Convene, paired with the new 5-star Broadblade Thousandfold Deliverance. The first-half 5-star of the same version is Qingxiao (Aero, Sword) with Glint of Clouds as their signature .

Why "HP-scaling" rewrites the build

Community reviews consistently place Jingran as an HP-scaling Fusion direct-damage DPS with shield mechanics, often described as a "shield carry" with a low execution barrier . That single fact changes gearing: ATK rolls are worth far less than on a standard DPS, HP% and direct damage bonuses are the real tracks, and team ATK buffs also get discounted.

Wuthering Waves Jingran Materials: Full Cost Table

Stage Shell Credits Whisperin Core (low/mid/high/full) Other
Ascension 170,000 4 / 12 / 12 / 4 46 ascension material, 60 region drop
Forte 2,030,000 25 / 28 / 40 / 57 26 boss material, cutting crystals 25 / 28 / 55 / 67
Weapon 330,000 — tunnel chains 6 / 6 / 10 / 12, cutting crystals 6 / 8 / 6 / 20
Total ~2,530,000 29 / 40 / 52 / 61 cutting crystals 31 / 36 / 61 / 87

Using the double-drop window

3.6 splits its doubled rewards into two phases. Phase one (20 August – 10 September) doubled drops in the Forging and Synthesis domains when spending Waveplates. Phase two (22–29 September) doubles Tacet Field rewards. If you level Jingran late in the patch, phase two lines up with your echo EXP farming. Do not dump every Waveplate into one domain to "use the window".

Ascension first, Forte nodes second

Forte eats 2.03 million Shell Credits — the single largest line item. My order is ascension, then the early Forte nodes, then the weapon. Forte value is concentrated in the first few nodes; later nodes cost sharply more per point. Ascension raises base stats, which an HP-scaling direct-damage dealer converts more efficiently.

Wuthering Waves Jingran Skills and Sequences

Skill priority

Level the main damage skill and Resonance Liberation first, then basics. Because skill multipliers are tied to HP, skill levels multiply against a base that only grows once your HP gear is in place. Levelling skills before gearing feels weak; after gearing, each skill level is worth more.

How far to push sequences

Jingran runs his full kit at zero copies. Sequence one and two typically fix rotation or team-wide buffing and usually out-value pure stat nodes; sequences five and six raise the ceiling, which only matters in content with real damage windows like the Tower of Adversity. On limited resources, zero copies plus the signature weapon beats sequence one, because the weapon's mechanic interaction is hard to replace with a 4-star.

Wuthering Waves Jingran Weapons

The signature option

千般渡 is the paired 5-star Broadblade. For an HP-scaling character, weapon value is not only the base ATK line — check whether the sub stat lands on HP or direct-damage territory. If it is pure ATK%, the HP-scaling dilution eats part of the gain.

Wuthering Waves Jingran Echo Setup

Screen sets by trigger condition, not by tier lists

Many echo sets trigger on "dealing Echo Skill damage", "dealing Heavy Attack damage", or "gaining a shield". For example, the 2.6 set Crown of Valor has a three-piece effect that grants 6% ATK and 4% Crit DMG per stack, up to five stacks for four seconds, triggering every 0.5 seconds when the wearer gains a shield; the 2.7 set Flamewing's Shadow's three-piece raises Heavy Attack crit by 20% when dealing Echo Skill damage and Echo Skill crit by 20% when dealing Heavy Attack damage, adding 16% Fusion DMG when both are active.

The method matters more than the answer: first confirm Jingran's actual rotation can keep the trigger condition up, then check whether the set grants HP or direct-damage stats rather than ATK. A set you cannot reliably trigger is worth nothing on paper. Confirm the final recommended set against in-game data before committing resources.

Stat priority

Slot Main stat Sub stat order
4-cost Crit Rate / Crit DMG Crit Rate >= Crit DMG
3-cost Fusion DMG / HP% HP% > ATK%
1-cost HP% Crit stats > HP% > ATK

The reasoning follows directly from the HP-scaling kit: HP% raises both the panel and the skill damage base, while ATK only applies in a few multipliers. That is the reverse of the usual ATK-scaling advice, so check whether the guide you are copying was written for a character with the same scaling.

Wuthering Waves Jingran Teams and Tower of Adversity

Team Roster Plan Sequence
Shield-stable Jingran + healer + buffing sub-DPS Shields and healing let Jingran sit on his HP panel Healer sets sustained regen, sub-DPS applies buffs, Jingran runs the loop
Double Fusion Jingran + Fusion sub-DPS + healer Shared Fusion bonuses, good into high-HP bosses Sub-DPS triggers first, Jingran takes the window, then sustain
Budget Jingran + Rover + any healer No limited teammates required Keep energy and healing uptime, let Jingran carry damage

Why rotation beats burst stacking

Jingran's damage curve is flat rather than front-loaded, so long-duration healing beats one-shot buffs. In the Tower of Adversity, his built-in shields raise the floor, but if healing coverage drops, the recovery lag on an HP-scaling character costs more tempo than a missing sub stat.

Wuthering Waves Jingran FAQ

Q: How many Shell Credits does Jingran need?
A: About 2.53 million total: 170,000 ascension, 2.03 million Forte, 330,000 weapon.

Q: Should I pull the signature weapon?
A: Yes if you can. 4-star weapons rarely match the same sub stat type, and the signature has a mechanic interaction. Weapon over sequences.

Q: Should Jingran stack ATK?
A: Not as a priority. He scales on HP, so HP% raises both panel and skill base, while ATK applies in fewer multipliers.

Q: I missed the double-drop window. Now what?
A: Phase two (22–29 September) covers Tacet Fields. If you miss it, farm normally and spend Waveplates on the Synthesis domain for Forte materials.

Q: Jingran or Qingxiao?
A: Different roles. Qingxiao is an Aero Sword carry; Jingran is an HP-scaling Fusion Broadblade carry. Pick by the gap in your roster, not by release order.

Come discuss in the Gghubs comments.

Action Checklist

  1. Price out the material gap first; Shell Credits at 2.53 million is the real bottleneck.
  2. Farm the 22–29 September Tacet Field double window for echo EXP, not for materials you already have.
  3. Screen echo sets by whether your rotation can hold the trigger, not by tier lists.
  4. Pull order: first copy, signature weapon, then sequences.
