HSR 4.6 Overview: Timeline and Pearl's Role

Version and banner timeline

The 4.6 update notes published on 23 September 2026 cover the "Currency War: Zero-Sum Game" season entering double promotion points and the reset rules when that season closes . The official Pearl art contest opened at 12:30 the same day. Per the 4.6 Special Program, Pearl's banner runs 28 September to 4 November for the full patch; the first half (28 September – 14 October) reruns Feiying and the second half (14 October – 4 November) reruns Qianye Blade . Because the banner spans the whole patch, you do not need to decide on day one.

What Pearl actually does

Pearl is a 5-star Ice character on the Elation path who provides healing, damage reduction, debuff cleansing and action advance, while adding extra Elation damage for the team through Elation skills. Her kit scales heavily with the number of Elation characters on the team, peaking at four, which makes her a specialist sustain rather than a universal healer .

HSR 4.6 Pearl Mechanics and Trace Thresholds

The 2,400 and 3,600 DEF gates

Her key trace activates at 2,400 DEF, and stacking to 3,600 grants an additional tier . That reshapes relic sub stat priorities: the target is not "as high as possible", it is "clear 2,400 first, then push toward 3,600". The value gradient across that range is steeper than normal stat stacking.

The absorption pool math

Through "Fold Suffering into Grace" she converts a capped resource (50 points of a song-based charge) into absorption value at 1 point = 200 absorption. Allies automatically spend that pool when hit to absorb 60% of the damage, and when an ally drops below 50% HP an additional 30% reduction applies. At a full 50 points the pool is 10,000 absorption, which is why she does not need constant healing output — she front-loads mitigation and then tops up.

Why Elation count is the real gate

Pearl's buffs scale with the number of Elation-path characters on the team, peaking at four. That means her team is not "two DPS plus Pearl" — it is either a full Elation lineup or an accepted discount. If your roster has fewer than three Elation characters, her value drops noticeably and you should reconsider the investment.

HSR 4.6 Pearl Relics and Light Cones

Relic stat priority

Slot Main stat Sub stat priority
Body DEF% / HP% DEF% > SPD > HP%
Feet SPD DEF% > SPD > HP%
Sphere DEF% / HP% DEF% > HP%
Rope Energy Regeneration Rate DEF% > SPD

Community discussion has suggested simply farming Vonwacq for the inner sets. Either way, the first filter is whether the setup reaches 2,400 DEF — set bonuses come after the threshold.

Light cone options

Pearl's signature 5-star light cone appears as " Colors for Tomorrow" in Special Program coverage, and some summaries shorten it to " Colors for Tomorrow". Treat the in-game name as authoritative . Its effect is DEF-oriented with Elation-related team buffs. Without it, choose a sustain light cone with a DEF main stat first, then one that grants SPD or Energy Regeneration, and only then anything else.

HSR 4.6 Pearl Material List

Material Amount
Credits 3,308,000
Siren's Shattered Fin 65
Fantasia Candle 56
Dreamweave Steel 71
Lucid Cone 73
Fluffy Hand-Drawn Storyboard 18
Fluffy Serial Anniversary Issue 69
Fluffy Collector's Edition 139
False Awakener's Expectation 12
Tracks of Destiny 8

Farming order

Credits first at 3.3 million, then the three "Fluffy" materials at 226 combined — the largest single block — and only then the mid-tier items like Lucid Cone and Dreamweave Steel. Skill-up priority is Skill and Elation Skill first, then Talent, then Ultimate, then Basic Attack. Her support value lives in the Skill and Talent, so Basic Attack and Ultimate are the lowest-value levels.

HSR 4.6 Pearl Team Builds

Team Roster Plan Sequence
All-Elation Pearl + Silver Wolf LV.999 + Aventurine (砂金·戏浪) + Yaoguang Four Elation characters, Pearl at full value Yaoguang buffs first, Pearl sets mitigation and healing, main DPS runs the Elation window
Three-Elation Pearl + Elation DPS + Elation support + any sustain One Elation short, accept the discount Keep the absorption pool stocked, cover healing gaps
Off-path test Pearl + any DPS + two supports Only viable with over-investment Prioritise mitigation coverage over buffing

Why she does not cost you an Elation slot

The main reason Pearl replaces a conventional sustain is that she does not occupy a team slot the way a non-Elation sustain would: she is already on the Elation path, so slotting her in adds a layer of path synergy for free . That is why her evaluation depends on your Elation roster rather than her raw panel.

Speed and rotation

Energy Regeneration and action advance drive her loop. Take SPD on feet and aim for uninterrupted mitigation rather than maximum single-target healing — topping up an empty pool is more efficient than healing at full health.

HSR 4.6 Events and Stellar Jade Sources

Jade available this patch

4.6 activities include a corrupted-enemy event worth 500 Stellar Jade paid out over 18 claims, a casual co-op event worth 500, the standard 10-pull login event, and the main patch event "Love, Ghosts and Robots" .

Separately, "Currency War: Zero-Sum Game" gains double promotion points in 4.6, and when the season ends the bond links, data bank, promotion level, standard gambit ranks, expected yield, season advantage nodes and win streak are all reset, with unclaimed rewards becoming unobtainable . Clear those first — it is the only genuinely expiring content this patch.

The new companion system

The new cosmetic companion system costs 180 Dream Jades per pull, grants 24 free pulls after the update, lets you carry three companions while exploring, supports player-to-player trading, and does not affect combat power. For players who do not pay for power, it is the best-value collection content in 4.6.

HSR 4.6 Pearl FAQ

Q: Is Pearl worth pulling?
A: Depends on your Elation roster. With four Elation characters she is the best-value sustain in the system; with fewer than three, her value drops noticeably.

Q: How much DEF does Pearl need?
A: Her key trace activates at 2,400 DEF and a further tier unlocks at 3,600. Treat 2,400 as the pass mark and 3,600 as the goal.

Q: What is Pearl's relic sub stat order?
A: DEF% > SPD > HP%. Her traces are DEF-gated, so clear 2,400 before worrying about set bonuses.

Q: What is Pearl's signature light cone called?
A: Special Program coverage lists it as Colors for Tomorrow, while some summaries shorten it to Colors for Tomorrow. The in-game name is authoritative.

Q: What expires in HSR 4.6?
A: The "Currency War: Zero-Sum Game" season rewards reset when 4.6 ends, including bond links, data bank progress, promotion level, standard gambit ranks, expected yield, season advantage nodes and win streak .

Action Checklist

  1. Clear the "Currency War" season rewards first — the only content in 4.6 that actually expires.
  2. Count your Elation-path characters before building Pearl; fewer than four lowers the priority.
  3. Push DEF to 2,400 before optimising set bonuses, then aim for 3,600.
  4. The banner runs all patch, so skip the day-one decision and wait for later character info.
